  • Erm, more do you really want a huge Jesus accross your chest?

Yup. The biggest and most important part of my life. And beautiful piece of artwork.

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

I be 18 at the mo

  • Hold on to your hats..

  • Go for it, Jesus had a big piece with my face across his chest, so I'm sure he'd quite like being on yours.

You're old enough fuck, marry, and drive a car, so do it.... better to regret the things you do than the things you didn't do.

You can always get it lasered-off if your faith or aesthetic taste change.

    /2p

  • Or you can turn it into parachuting Mohamet

  • Got it done. Stayed clear of the wet. I'm also a complete idiot not to have checked the picture I printed to give the artist and it's missing a HO but I can get it added in after so it's not a big deal. Just goes to show you how easy it is to cock it up though, I'd been planning for ages and then with the first tattoo excitement I printed out the wrong picture. :|

  • i dont have the money right now but it'll happen soon(ish)

  • I've never regretted anything I did when I was 18, when I thought I'd done all the mental growing up I needed to do.*

    *not true

  • I've got 12 tattoos now, but I'm still admittedly prejudiced against people I see with tattoos of Christ on them. I instantly think they're probably a religious nutcase (although the true religious nutcases are usually too busy proselytising to be getting tattoos) , or someone who in real life has done lots of fucked up things to other people "but always intended to do good like Jesus said".

A pillar of Christian ideals (if thats your reasoning for marking your body with that imagery) isnt what pops into my head first.

Just saying. Your call. I know I wouldnt.

  • I want a squid on my sternum.

  • Let's reclaim Jesus and swastikas!

  • I want a squid on my sternum.

    euph?

Actually this is a stupid point, forget it. I do stuff all the time that I regret later on, be it 18 or 36.

  • euph?

It does sound a bit like an aquatic Cleveland Steamer...

Kev, I think it can be dangerous to make assumptions based on someone's appearance, attire, or what they choose to display on their body.

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

  • I was always right about traffic wardens after I judged them by their appearance.

  • And a nebular somewhere.

I totally get that and am sorry that you've obviously had bad experiences with religious nutcases. But I hope that if we ever met you would realise I am nothing like that. and people on here can vouch for me.

I dont think ive ever done anything too fucked up to anyone and am definitely not a bigoted, homophobic, racist, like some Christians are.

My aim is purely to do good and help people. And I am very thankful for what Jesus has done in my life, for if he hadn't I would be dead.

  • I've done all myself, thanks. But good luck.

  • Starting to save for a full torso piece...

  • Can you simplify that line work for me. Thanx.

I can vouch for Joss, one of the soundest lads I've met. Literally doubt he has a bad bone in his body, wish I could say the same for me!

Jesus ain't for me, I'm more buddhist... People of such strong faith and belief are a puzzle to me, but yeah I can't fault you for being a top lad so why should I question your beliefs or your desire to display them on your body.

  • Just popped in to this thread to see what's going on, I too can vouch for Joss.

He's a great guy and not a nutjob, doesn't throw his beliefs onto anyone and I don't see it becoming a problem in regular conversation like with some people, he's proud of his beliefs and he displays that, they don't hurt anyone so why not practise them.

I'm not religious and only have problems when people force it on to me or use it as an excuse for violence or as a means to control people. Keep to what you believe in Joss.

  • Not surprisinly Jesus haven't turned up yet to vouch for him.
