  • Ref Mo Coppoletta at The Other Art Fair (26 - 28 April) London

Mo Coppoletta has designed four designs unique for TOAF which he will be inking live on select visitors at the fair - anyone looking to jump his 2 year celebrity waiting list simply needs to email why they want a tattoo to iwantatattoo@theotherartfair.com

  • Just came across this old image, pretty sure it's a repost, well, fuck it. I wouldn't mind to have something similar done.

Is there still a cost involved? I'm saving for a tattoo next month but really want one by Mo.

Does Mo really have a two-year waiting list? When he started my sleeve he was advertising three-hour sessions for small pieces at a few weeks' notice. I just booked one and persuaded him to keep re-booking me, every couple of weeks. When I had four or five sessions with Dom Holmes at Family Business a year and a half ago, she was sharing the back room with Mo and Steve Vinall, and Mo was seeing walk-ins. Then again, I booked Val Vargas at Frith Street at less than a week's notice a while ago.

Have things really changed that much? It seems it suits artists to cultivate myth around waiting lists, it doesn't harm the people they tattoo either, if they want that sense of exclusivity.

  • When I tried to book with Dom or Xam a year ago I was told their waiting lists were a year....Furci's was 3 weeks and I couldn't be any happier if I tried with the work Furci has done on me.

  • I was told that Xam was a year last year in March, apparently is two

  • I like Andrea Furci's work, always looks really bold and pretty spot on. I'll probably pick something up from him one day but after Xam next month I'm going to have to take a break and let my bank account recover.

The Family Business is such a big shop since it expanded into next door, it's kind of crazy how many really good artists work there.

  • Ricky Williams is there now, got 3 off him when he was at tattooagogo, don't think I paid more than £150 for the lot, bet he isn't that cheap at TFB

  • I'm not sure how much Mo is charging, nor am I certain that his waiting list is two years long.

I am only passing on info about something I thought may be of interest to you guys.

I 'think' he's charging £200.00 for each piece but you'd best check via the email address if you are really interested.

    Hope that helps

  • Do you know what these pieces are?

  • Sorry Kev, I don't. I'm not involved in this part of the Art Fair.

Best email them direct for more info - sorry!

  • Thats alright, I google image'd his work.

    Not particularly feeling it.

  • How is it at AKA?
i want a piece by valentine hirsch

  • It's all good, met a lot of great people there.
I tried to make an appointment with Valentin, but he was fully booked, same with Guy Le Tattooer.
Bastien Jean is a cool man, knows his shit, owns a shop in Toulouse and keen cyclist too. Done a few pieces on my arm. Recommended.

I think guy is possibly my favourite artist.
