  • ^^^ his belly button looks like it's murmuring out of the corner of it's mouth.

    "mmm mmmm mmm m mmm"
    "What was that, tummy button?"
    "mmm mmmm mmm m mmm"
"No, I still didn't get that."
"I'm going to fucking kill you."
    "Oh. Oh dear..."

  • ^ sarcastic surely

    Why'd I be being sarcastic?

I really like the tattoos on the the guy from Die Antwoord,

and I saw a punk guy recently that had arms covered in stuff like that.

Maybe it's a rebellion to the highly coloured, really bold/fine fine detail type work that's becoming more and more popular.

When I started getting 'good' tattoos a few years ago I was sure I wanted sleeves, like full coverage, no skin showing through sleeves. But there's so many hipsters and kids with this now that I've changed my mind.

  • Hurrah for rubbish whimsical tats! Tattoo nerds blow.

  • Not been to the parlour but have a seen a fair bit of Maths work and it's top drawer. Was trying to get a smaller piece done by him when he was at Self Sacrifice but he left and I went somewhere else.

That's me and The Circle is my shop :-)

    Quite.

I think shit tats would be kind of reminiscent of drawing one myself/friends at school. Just good fun.

  • I'd rather have a nicely drawn cock-slapping machine than a squint one though.

Does anyone know if Ninja's tats are real? I read somewhere they are not. Seems pretty hardcore to have yourself done just for a role.

    Nice one!

Dunno, seem to be present in pretty much every vid/pic and they were there when I saw them play in Glasgow.

RE the whole "Are Die Antwoord fake?" thing, I didn't realise that so many people thought they were anything other than a big act taking the piss out of just about everyone, including themselves until googling about his tats just then.

  • I know a guy who got tattoo'd for the 80's film, "made in Britian"
he was an extra at the hostel, 18 at the time and out of work, he was stupid, and didn't know any better.

    Try getting a job.

he is recently married, one of the nicest guys you would ever meet and has a lovely daughter.

  • Did he get a tattoo on his head or something?

  • neck, arms, hands , chest etc...

  • For a film?!

  • Hurrah for rubbish whimsical tats! Tattoo nerds blow.

  • Math, this is stunning:

Did you carry it on down the fingers?

  • Swastika's or puzzle pieces?? I can't decide

  • both

Thanks man, We left it like that cos on the fingers there isn't enough space for it to make sense.

  • I want ninja monkeys fighting robots on my arm, could you make that look awesome?

  • I don't get the swastika thing at all. I know that it predates the nazi thing by a few hundred years or whatever, and that they revolved it in a different direction or whatever (I'm not that interested in the history of it to be honest), but it seems a little close to the line to me. I supposed what would bother me is people looking at me and my tattoo and thinking I was a fascist. I'd also get bored to death explaining it to everyone who asked zzzzz.

I'm probably entirely wrong but I imagine slightly nihilistic righteous types feeling smug about it's wholesome real meaning but enjoying the provocative connotations of the nazi swastika. Hmm. Or maybe it's more about reclaiming an ancient symbol? Personally I couldn't be arsed with the ambiguity. Anyone else have any thoughts about it?

  • I get tattoos for myself, if people get offended because they don't understand that's their issue. Not mine. I certainly don't feel the need to explain myself to everyone who asks. The same goes for everything else I do, I will only ever be answerable to myself.

It's also worth remembering that people who get offended by what a tattoo is will quite often be offended that someone is tattooed at all.
My body. My life. My choice.

as i'm a german i can understand your thoughts. i know the history about the symbol before the world wars but was never into that deep to think about getting it tattoed. but it's good to see that a lot of people, like object, don't care about the little period of using the symbol for a wrong thing. but if you're living in germany some cities or parts of it could made you angry. not only of getting questions, maybe more of getting hunted or friend requests from the wrong side.
