Although I bet he has better hair.

Of course she does.

It was about six months last time I checked but she's been getting more popular.
i heard the same. -

I should have started going years ago when I heard her name, but I was going to Steve Prizeman's wife from Eternal Arts in Upminister at the time.

Is Hugo Spanish?
No. It's a phase lot's of people used when I was in Bolivia. Usually just the first part, and probably because we'd always start asking for something with "es posible...". Anyway, it really struck a cord with me. I thought keeping it in the same language would be better than translating. Plus seguro, has lots of different uses.
I really like the idea of writing, but at the same time didn't want the text to be too much of a big thing, so I think it's come out perfectly.
Living in the jungle has been the place I felt most content. So I was after something that represented that and was reasonably timeless. In the original design I did ages ago, has a machete. But I scrapped it as I thought it would be too easily misconstrued as a violent object, rather than a practical one.
Overall I would have liked it a tiny bit lighter, but I was told it will lighten a little anyway. Plus I figured I'd defer to the artist judgement on technical use of colours.
Oh and I just realised I should give a plug to Anu at Shangri-la. Really great artist. Looking at her other stuff she does some great detail. Apparently she does a lot of angels, so if anyone is after that, check her out. Another good thing is she doesn't have a giant waiting list.

Good black and grey tattooists in London that aren't Lyam and Duncan?
Would go to Duncan but soonest to get something from him is June.Anyone?
Most of my tattoos have been done by mates or not in London so I'm not really up on who to look at. -
• #3313
June for Duncan is really not a long time to wait dude. For tattooing of that quality his waiting list should be years long.
-
• #3314
I know but I really want it sooner than June, that's the problem.

Obviously it's your body but for me that was always a total non-argument. When something's going to be on my body forever, a few months doesn't make a difference to me. YMMV obvs.

Cheers for advice BR and I totally get that train of thought but I'm sure there are artists out there who are also very good. It's not like I'm forfeiting getting a good tat by not going to Duncan.
Obviously it would be ideal to get one from him but I'm keen to check out other people too. -

4m is not bad.
ive had to wait 6 months t osee Dom at TFB (booked in feb 10, for July, then booked another a week later, she opened up her books over christmas for me)
Iv got a consult in April for my next one (epic wait but i cant get there apart from weekends)Its always wort hthe wait if you liek the artist.

Have a look on tattooagogo website, not sure who is working there ATM but there was a couple of decent guest artists last summer. -

But that's the thing, I don't know enough artists, there might be another I like more but I just haven't heard of them, hence why I asked on here. I know Duncan is great and he would know exactly the kinda thing I'm looking for but I'm sure there are artists out there who are also very good and could also doa great job. I just don't know em.

Duncan's the best in London for black work, period, imo.
-
• #3321
4 months really isn't that long. But surely it depends on the piece, no? Are you in London? If so why don't you go into a few places and look at the people who do blackwork.
