  • it's you real finger print, or just one made up?

  • It is Margaret Thatchers'/Jimi Hendrix's/Cassie Brady's/RPM's/Ronnie Corbetts'/Winston's/Mine......depending upon my mood.

  • I'm sure I've seen Dr X (is that his name?) from intoyou do line work like that on someone from here

I happened upon this site the other day, might provide some inspiration
    http://www.danhillier.com

I think you mean Duncan X at in2u.

@Cornelius Blackfoot - Chris is great. Glad you found the link useful.

As to the whole not wanting to get tattoed because it's common place fair enough. But like east end images (I think) said, it makes it more accepted which can't be a bad thing. That and if you want to get tattoed other people having them shouldn't really make much of a difference.

There's nothing precious or special about being tattooed IMO it's just a process you enjoy in various ways depending on the individual.

  • I too find myself coming back to this thread time and again, and I have no tattoos.

Morgasm's sleeve is amazing- really amazing, I stared at it for ages when he posted the pictures.

A lot of the rest of the stuff I think has a meaning to the wearer that is not apparent to me, but I guess that is my issue, not theirs!

  • awww thanks guys x

  • Like I said, I took a long time to post up the previous, as I do have tattoo's and want to get more, but the travels and seeing so much ink on display made me pause.

Just reinforced my desire to have tattoo's which aren't on display that much. And I do believe if you're going to have tattoo's on display you should have something amazing. But I'm very critical/judgmental in these sorts of visual things anyway, its not everyones point of view and I accept that, which is why I don't air my thoughts usually on subjective art stuff.

But I also believe in less is more, so know I've only got another 2/3 tattoo's left and I want them, if they are ever on display to be better/amazing/distinctive/personal (at least in my mind) than anything else I will ever see. But I could be shooting for the moon there.

I've always wanted tattoo's and it took me along time to work out what I wanted, and have the finished art placed on me, and maybe a bit of me is envious that tattoo's are now more widely accepted or desired that now people can get them sooner rather than later with less hesitation.

anyway, Rapsac your tattoo is one I always talk about when I talk about really individual/bold statement tattoo's.
And morgasm, like alot, more than alot actually...

  • I agree with everything Cornie has said.

I got my tat done after a lot of consideration, it took years for me to come up with a design that I was happy with, it had to be unique. It also took a few visit's to convince Franch Tomas to do it as I have no other tat's, probably won't get any others either (it is sometimes hard to keep to this decision).

I also think that tat's have the most meaning to the person on whom they are done they are also there be seen and displayed. Mine can be hidden when I want and visa versa.

  • That may be true Rapsac but you do seem remarkably willing to expose it when in the company of ladies in however public a place.

  • Cliveo, you have me misjudged. I like to show off my massive guns, pecks and six pack in public. I have to work very hard on keeping my upper body in the glorious shape it is in.

  • Clive, your regular posting on this thread makes me wonder if you're getting your arse cheek inked to give your backside a bit of balance...

  • Maybe clive will copy hippy's world of warcraft inspired bottom tattoo.

  • I didn't know about hippy's tattoo.

I wish that I was still ignorant.

  • That's genius Rapsac.

  • Thanks, guys. I'm not sure how to shake off that vision of Clive's and Hippy's bottoms.

  • That's genius Rapsac.

    Thanks.

I would like to see a tat of Hippy's happy smiling drunk face on Cliveo's bottom.

I used to think like this, but now I just think that people should go and get what they want, even if its on a whim. Fuck it, who cares. Its only your skin - stop getting so worried / precious about it and making it into a big deal. It doesnt have to be anything big and meaningful and individual. If you dont like it in a few years you can always get a cover-up done.

  • really Kevin....?

  • hey everyone. here's my half-done jellyfish. :)

That is AWESOME! Going for colour on it? I'm planning a rib piece very soon, going to be my first tattoo and I can't wait!

  • Want some work on my side, need to lose the gut first.

+1, That's all that's holding me back right now.

  • Anyone going to the Brighton Convention at the end of the month? I'm pretty sure my girlfriend and I will be popping by so it would be good to say hello to unfamilar faces etc if any is coming.

  • really Kevin....?

Yep. I've got one or two tattoos that I dont like any more, which I didnt think much about at the time I got them, but it doesnt bother me.
