I posted some yesterday - Day 1 on FB, complete with troutpout (trademarked)
how can i see these pictures?
i'm pretty interested in scalpelling etc. -
• #2930
Bloody hell, it's getting steamy in here.
ps. Joe, chill out. I'll tell you like a father - take your time, start slowly, when you're old enough to modify legally that is. Fashion trends and fads change with time.
Don't don anything which will enable others to "date" you at first sight, if you know what I mean (like a carbon dating). -

I also have my lip scalpelled.
Here , complete with troutpout. Didnt have a hairband to tie my hair up at the time.Kris, you're being patronising. You've said that to him like 2/3 times now. He's interested in modification, and also is finding information about body modification, which definitely the right way to go about it, rather go omfg LOL IM GUNNA USE STRETCHERS AND GUAGEZ AND SKIP SIZES!
There's some who are into fads and some that are genuinely interested in it. -
• #2934
fads FTW
-
• #2935
\o/ woo fads! Angelzbitez, spiderbitez rofltrolololol.
-
• #2936
Chill out, Lil.
Do you feel freudian guilt yourself, because you're the only one to protest when I mention fads? Every why has a wherefore.
-
• #2937
Not at all. I've always been genuinely interested in it, including the heavier side such as surgical modifications (implants, scalpelling, split tongues),suspensions, pulls - cultural rituals and so on. Have attended some suspension/body modification meets and met few of those people who run it.
Whilst I understand at the moment, last 2-3 years, the mainly piercings side of it has become a massive fad, it's just annoying to hear you keep mentioning it each time I or someone mention something that isn't tattoos. -
• #2938
to be fair to kris, i dont think he mentions it everytime you bring it up.
just, as a father, when a 16yr old talks about his interest in mods i think it registers as "wrong" with him.
which is fair. -

And why not? That's life, isn't it.
My moaning is not going to kill anyone, but perhaps will make the young ones make sure what they really want. Like really really want.
-
• #2940
And Joe's right, father's habit. If you don't moan at kids and are their "mate", one day they will come back and ask why you didn't care?
-
• #2941
Wait, Joe. Don't rush it, because you can get something shitty for cheap and regret it till the kingdom come. Same for stretching. You follow fads now... and they do change every few years. And you never know, perhaps you would want to become a Tory or something later on.
He has mentioned it once/twice before, Joe Im not going to run through the entire thread.
Saying it's wrong in this sort of thread is a bit odd.But do have to agree with you Kris, it's the best to make sure it's what you definitely want, so I guess, I'll apologise for my random snapping. Sorry. :)
-
• #2942
yes, he definitely has mentioned it on more than one occasion, just, for the right reasons.
-
• #2943
its not really a fad thing, i don't do that.
if i did, i'd be listening to whatever is deemed cool by my mates, and that definitely isn't me. -
• #2944

Lil, you have to know, that when I'm writing that, I don't judge you or anybody else. I haven't written that this sort of body modification is ugly or stupid, so please take it lightly.
It's permanent and it's very bold and that's why one should think twice about it and don't follow trends. That's it.
-
• #2945
You can start another thread for shit that isn't tattoos. I don't believe piercings and all that other malarky should be lumped in with tattoos.
-
• #2946
I had just said that I now realise that's the point you're trying to make!
Ear stretching isn't 100% permanent - you can downsize to nothing if you dont go like, beyond 8mm to 10mm unlike tattoos (unless you're able to cover it up decently or black it out) and you can have it sewed up, but that costs a fair bit of money, and results in smaller lobes.
Scalpelling definitely needs LONGER term thinking, as it includes taking chunk of skin out.
And why should I start a new thread when Tattoos are categorised under body modification anyway.
-
• #2947
i do, the occasional mod is fine.
theyre all mods arent they?
to answer my own question- yes, they are. -
• #2948
Tattoos are categorised under body modification anyway.
By whom?
-
• #2949
I didnt mean in a LFGSS format, but tattoos IS body modification, no?
-
• #2950
yes
Suckin it it.
