Lots of suggestions on here KP. Frith Street has gone downhill recently, but Val who works there would be a good bet for what you're looking at. Hoops and I would recommend Family Business, but there is a wait unless you want a small piece and they can fit you in - you have to be nice to David. Pisti's recommendation is good too...

It's not often I hear I could do better.... where do you suggest?
You could always do better Kat. My best advice would be don't just limit yourself to local places. Have a good look online at various shops/artists and try to find one doing similar things to what you want. Head to any you like the look of and have a chat with the artist. If you don't feel comfortable with the artist or shop, move on to another until you do. If the place you decide on is a bit of a distance, make a day of it. It really is worth finding the right artist/shop as you'll enjoy it much more.
I'm quite lucky as new wave is just over a mile from me, but I'd definitely travel some distance to have Matt do my sleeve.

I'm up here in Seattle and was thinking of getting a big piece done in this sort of style, either a killer whale or a dragon anyone know of anyone who works in this style...
See URL for details

Mainly about skidding. But I like his black sleeve. Im becoming a huge fan of blackwork at the moment. He has a different sleeve on the other arm too.

I'm thinking about looking into getting something with clocks in a Victorian-style rendering. And/or maybe an owl.
-
• #1449
Supes saw this great back piece by an artist here of an owl swooping in for the kill, great line work, and very impressive. Go for it, owls are intrinsically cool, thinking of clockwork owls what about that gold one from the original ray harryhausen clash of the titans...
