Agree, that statement is a lot better. I still think he's a problematic character though, as many people in the tattoo world are. Personally I think that symbols associated with Nazism and Neo-Nazism are just too loaded to mess about with, unless you're a part of the culture that they originated from. Is it really the place of a group of mostly white, mostly western artists to attempt to reclaim those symbols?

Oh, for what it's worth, the donuts are over sweet and over priced.

Yeah I agree that there's a strong arguement that once the Nazi's have used something, it's tainted and shouldn't be expected to be seen outside that context again, however much of a connection you have to the original meaning. (Although I'm not including the other forms of swastica in this, seeing as they're still in use in other countries/religions)

Well he IS German.
(sorry)

Toothtaker has turned out to be one of the worst people imaginable, I followed him for a while on instagram but unfollowed pretty quick, would be savage if you had some of his art on you.
-
• #12032
What’s he done?
-
• #12033
Taken a tooth.
-

Sexually assaulted, abused and stalked multiple women over the last 10-15yrs.
The women’s stories are here:https://instagram.com/_surviving_toothtaker_?igshid=1unhdyx4t1dki
It makes for some horrible reading.

• #12035
Absolute prick then.
-
• #12036
Yup, another one that needs stringing up by the ballbag...
In other news I’m getting an illegal stabbing next week in a secret studio from someone awesome.
-
• #12037
Fucking hell, that's some hard reading, stopped after a few but there's loads.
-
• #12038
Why?
-
• #12039
His work is fucking rubbish too imo.
-
• #12040
Because I’d argue getting tattooed by someone pro as fuck in a sterile setting for an hour is considerably safer than spending half an hour in the pub this weekend would be.
- I assume you’re asking why I’m getting tattooed next week, not why a sex offender should be strung up by the wotsits.

Yep, just wondering why the rules don’t apply to you
-
• #12042
Some rules are silly and not based on reason. If other businesses can operate reasonably with far less precautions in place then someone in the business of keeping things sterile is worth supporting. They got bills to pay too.

Christ. I used to follow him a while ago but stopped because he seemed like a strange guy. Posts saying stuff like "get tattoo'd by a real criminal".
-
• #12044
Which is pretty much what everyone says when the rules don’t suit them. Anyway, seems there are bigger fish to fry...
-
• #12045
I think opening tattoo studios before pubs makes sense.
-
• #12046
It's Malice isn't it?
-
• #12047
Lost track. Is it illegal stabbings or stringing up by the ballbag that is wrong?
-
• #12048
I wish. I did bump into Emily and her partner last weekend at a protest which was awesome as I’ve not seen them in ages.
In theory I’m seeing her mid-August. Was originally booked for May, then was moved to end June which then got moved to hopefully August.
There’s so much still to do on my big side piece :/ -
• #12049
Same, I actually like some of his work but he weirded me out and definitely gave out strange vibes... did not expect him to be as bad as this though.

In other news, Alex Reinke aka Horikitsune is going to be opening a new shop in Angel with 2 other artists, not sure who they are or the name of the shop yet but Alex is a proper Japanese trained traditional artist. Think I may try and get something booked in when it's up and running.
I still feel if you have to go to such lengths to explain that your own tattoos aren’t actually nazi stuff it’s not unreasonable to assume that at a passing glance the average square probably thinks it is...
Either way it was a good statement well written. Would try the donuts but not the ink...
