Thanks guys, I am so happy about it. Lou is an amazing artist, I have already booked in for another session with her next year for something else, I dont know what exactly yet, but booked a day sitting anyway. I am not sure if I am addicted to tattooing or addicted to her work on my body... same difference I guess...

Need to work out what I want from Lou. Problem is I don't want colour but her colour work is so amazing.

her dot work is equally amazing... but colour is better!

I think we have hit a mutual ground for my next piece to be something I will love and she will enjoy doing / is her strength. This is the aim!!

interesting take on the artist/client relationship.

My next little piece hopefully before Xmas. Local billhook pattern to where I grew up. I used to do a lot of hedgelaying and still do tree work so legit hipster lumberjack tattoo.
Pic is from an old tool catalogue and needs finessing.

be rad.
after reading Roger Deakin's Wildwood I've become somewhat obsessed with the idea of hedging and such -

Thanks dude.
Hedgelaying is cold, spiky, back-breakingly hard work. Satisfying though.
Getting it done at The Gilded Cage in Brighton(family connection to shop), but don't know which artist will be doing it yet. Undecided as to having it on its own as is or giving artist free reign to turn it into something more interesting. Probs latter. -

Anybody has any feedback on Antoine (ant the elder) from Sang Bleu? He's guest at a shop where I live and was thinking to get something from him, really like his woodcut style on IG..

When are you going there next? Might be an excuse to put a name to a face, or is it put a face to a name? Can never be quite sure which way round this is...
