Sounds fun, count me in.
Do we get to wear ninja suits if bike assassination is the order of the day?

What about bike assasination, kind of like tag but not. Everyone who wants to play gets a card with another forumengers name on it. They then have to hunt down and tag that person (or soak them with a water pistol. Once you tag someone they are out of the game and you get their target card so you have someone new to go after. Game goes on for a week or until there is only one person still in the game. We played this with water pistols at uni, was great fun, you had to study up on your victim, find out what they looked like, where you could find them etc. The "Spotted" thread and "names and faces to bikes" would come in very handy.
One of the recent spate of stabbings followed a water pistol fight that went too far.
Couldn't we just cut out the foreplay and go straight to knives? Cycling in London is already dangerous, why not add a little more edge?

I'd be interested too. How about testing the game in a big park first to help iron out any problems with rules, etc. I think I'm just about clever enough to grasp the concept of tag but hey, start adding ribbons and I'm like "What the...??"

SOUNDS STUPID. I am down with this idea.

i think this sounds wicked fun. another reason to wish i lived in london...
how about an ongoing thing on the side for those who live in london. i used to work with a bunch of guys and we got a magnetic learner driver sticker from a skip oneday and for about two months it did the rounds appearing on each others vans. so how about that but the other way round... kind of like the spotted @ thread but with a game involved. one person starts with a rag on their bag/bike and they have to get rid of it to someone elses, then the next person has to keep it till they can offload it on someone.? like roll up to some one some lights, look over, say bad luck fucker, then pass them the flag/yellow cycle clip whatever and roll off laughing.

capture the flag based idea sounds better, make it over a week or two, becomes more incidental and more interesting.

I love the idea of cruising around carrying a riding crop.

this accident is an idea waiting to happen.

Remember this forum is public. Suggesting you will be raging around Soho - one of the busiest areas in London always full of people and kids, disoriented tourists, not looking where they are going - will bring on the bike hate big time. Only takes one person to send a link to the Daily Fail et al.

For the avoidance of doubt, could I point out that my earlier post was intended to be ironic. Please note Daily Mail editor...

a park is a much better idea, probably a bit small but better.
Actually Soho isn't busy at all in the morning says 11am, yes, it's the morning, not exactly great, but I was around Soho this morning, and it's quick as fuck beside the builder drilling, it's still quiet until 1pm.

4am would be even better...
Seriously - London is blissfully quiet between the hours of about 1am and 5am, and sleep is overrated.

yes! it is! and yes! it is!

we have plenty of time to sleep when we're dead, the worse thing about sleep, is that we have an average 7 hours of our life wasted doing nothing *everyday, I mean, 7 hours!

I like it when you're really really tired and you hanker down to some serious zeds. It's quite a sort of "delicious" sort of feeling isn't it?
i haven't slept like that in months.

i like it, when you are seriosly tired, and you sort of fall into a deep pleasant euphoria, and then it gets totally spoilt because your mrs wakes you up because you are snoring :)

Yes yes, this is why we need to go out and play all night. Think of it as an investment in a much better night's sleep tomorrow!
Anyone fancy going to Brick Lane for 2am bagels?
