  • I feel paralysed. Hang on…

  • That's better.

  • Cops also at junction of Walworth Road and Heygate Street today stopping RLJers.

  • Saw cops pulling people over on OKR this morning also.

  • Yeah, I saw a guy on a white bike getting ticked off there just before 9.

  • I saw police this morning. They were in a van stopped at the same set of lights I was. We both proceeded forwards when the lights went green. It was joyous.

  • one officer has been standing on the southwest corner of Old st and Burnhill rd all week. Today as i rode through green and 15 peds walked against red and swarmed around me he said something to me I couldn't quite pick up.

  • velodrone - not to be confused with http://velodrone.tumblr.com/ aka Verbs & Nouns on here.

    Anyway, carry on.

(as long as the lights green of course)

  • Popo stopping people on the South side of Blackfriars bridge today.
Good job, but there must be a way to stop RLJ-ers without forcing everyone else to swerve or crash.

  • Noticed police at the north end of rotherhite tunnel. And canary wharf junction yesterday.

  • North side of Southwark bridge this morning...

  • Loads of Police (20+)pulling over Cyclists and Motorists at the beginning of Jamaica rd this morning...haven't a clue why...anyone know what they were up to?

  • It looks as though they were having a crackdown on Riding on Two Wheels (or at least, the nobbers that ride along the pavement after coming out of Southwark Park), and Driving While Dark.

  • they've done surveys along there before asking routes etc... but that's more tfl than popo

  • The 5-0 are always so obvious when laying in wait at Southwark Bridge/Upper Thames Street that it really makes everyone's morning to see an unobservant prat sail through the red.

  • Lady on a borris bike got a shouting at from a police van on CS8 this morning for skipping a pedestrian red light...

They were doing a combination of things.

Saw them book a few cyclists and motorists for RLJing and riding across a ped crossing while peds were crossing. Seemed to be a general spot check rather than a cyclist crackdown.

They had spotters on side streets radioing ahead. The people riding out of Southwark park were sitting ducks.

  • I'm moving to London next week (1st November) and this is massively helpful given that I run reds all the time (where it's safe).

Living in Dalston and working near Chancery Lane seems to be full of prime fine spots!

  • Easy solution: don't jump red lights
    RLJ /bad cyclists thread>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Or at least if you don't notice the popo before jumping a red, you aren't paying enough attention to jump a red safely.

  • For the last two days there has been a bobby catching cyclists jump the lights outside the RBS building heading southbound down Bishopsgate in the evenings.

Last night a guy got a ticket for being over the line even though I (and I assume the fuzz) saw the bus behind him steam into the ASL and force him over. Cop was having none of it.
