  • I got one of these from urbanhunterz. Its great, works well. I got the larger size so I could take a more substantial lock that doesn't fit in my pocket.

  • I have a lil man bag that i found a oxfam for £2
    Fits pump,Mini D,tube,leavers,spanner,keys,wallet phone
I want to make it a belt like this though

Just turn it inside out and sew a belt-sized strap of strong fabric down one side. With strong thread and probably cross-stitching. Job's a good'un.

(Inside out is for a sewing machine, probably doesn't make any difference if you do it by hand)

Oh and if it's too long then make it two or three strips so that they miss the belt loops on your kecks.

  • any1 know if it fits on a **Fahgettaboudit lock ? ? ?

  • Bigger locks dont fit - but you could make one pretty easily

actually the Fahgettaboutit Mini fit a bit, but too heavy to ride about in.

edited: snap, let me try and put it on and see how snug it is.

It fit, just about very snugly, a bit tight but turn out to be a bit more comfortable than i realise, what I don't know is how strong the strap is to hold the weight of the Fah.

  • what I don't know is how strong the strap is to hold the weight of the Fah.

it's made of seatbelts -- designed to hold back fat fucks from suddenly accelerating forward at 150 mph -- so should be fine, no?

  • I use my new york in it no probs (larger size)

you're right, I wonder if it worth the risk of riding with the Fah for a week and see what happen?

  • i went to Arthur Beale chandlery (yacht-y boat gear) shop on shaftesbury avenue, where they sell good quality nylon webbing for 65p a metre and mega-strong twine. i'm gonna make one of these for myself soon. does anyone have one i could have a look at? :)

  • Anybody know if there's still somebody selling these in London now?

  • I got mine mail order from Urban Hunter. I believe Velorution stock them but following the recent blogs they've published I decided I'd rather not give ignorant racists my money.

  • Uncle Archie's has this covered...east drinks is the place if you want one! ;)

£9 eh? ordering them from America is ironically cheaper (£4 plus £3 shipping).

  • scott, are you making these now? i'll have one!

I might have some 'grobags' versions at the bottom of my bag tomorrow...and they might have a blinky light loop on them too...:)

  • save me one!

  • will do.

They cost $8 from Fabric Horse directly but they charge $13 postage and you may get charged import duty and VAT. On the balance of costs £9 seemed reasonable as it is a) cheaper than going direct and b) less hassle.

Scott could you save me one of these as well! Cheers!

  • Hmm, I've been using only my belt for my NY3000 when I haven't brought a bag. More the lenght than the weight that annoyes me whenever I stand up it sort of catches on the saddle-end. Don't know if this would fix that problem for me though.

$13? do they? let me check my bill again.

That's what Carrie said in the email I got from her when I asked about shipping costs. She then put me onto Urban Hunter (and Velorution).

Balls. I ordered one from Urbanhunuter!

  • I'll have 20 of my version with me at east drinks tonight...made to fit mini evo's...as per usual this first batch is still classed as prototypes....if you want one it'll cost you a bluey!
