  • yeah... err... that's not exactly where i was coming from, although i wouldn't crawl over Scarlett to get to you! It hadn't occurred to me that Murray was in the least bit racist in the film. hmm.

Imagine you're Japanese, then watch it again. I'd be pretty pissed off.

To be fair it does have a good soundtrack.

  • Segal is in very bad films and is a piss poor actor - FACT!

    right, that's it!
Name and Address, im coming round to fuck u up! ;)

agreed, he's in SOME shit films, and is generally a shit actor, but that's just not the point!

  • see, acting genious.
    what's not to like?

  • Ha!

    Oh dear..

are you crazy! i love any film with steven segal. the films obvioulsy are pretty shite, but they are absolutely hilarious

  • Out for justice ... William Forsythe is real badass in that flick, I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Bad films = anything with Jude Law, Hugh Grant, Liz Hurley or Steven Segal

Jude Law has been in some rockin' films. Pinter's remake of Sleuth was wicked.

bad movies, yea. um. species 2. queen of the dammed. napoleon dynamite. anything with woody allen. american psyco. that movie about cocain with an all star cast that one loads of awards...[/quote]

Really?! I mean, seriously? Awesome films.
    Battle Royale 2.
Superbad - the McLovin and the cops storyline was great but the rest was piss poor.
    Plan 9 From Outer Space!

  • ^^^ i think you need to watch more movies but smoke a joint first. then you'll love them and see the good part

  • How can you have not liked napolean dynamite? If you watched it when it came out, the idea was new &charming/feel good. It looked great & was funny.

It was totally seminal and aswell as inventing hipster fashion paved the way for a wave of qwerky geek-cool indie films. Some good ( thumbsucker, lars & the real girl) and some bad (eagle vs. Shark)

But still napolean dynamite is awesome.

  • last night i got home in a really good mood having had a few drinks and cough cough well feeling pretty good anyway. i got in full of the joys of spring and feeling goodwill to all men etc. then the girlfriend wanted to watch x-men 3. okay i can deal with a bit of mindless popcorn entertainment i thought. 10 minutes later i was squirming and gnashing with pained angst. what a pile of utter utter shit. i don't like superhero/comic films at the best of times but this took, pointless, dull, po-faced, cliched and joylessly ridiculous to whole new level. every line was a ridiculous movie cliche. i found that lying there with my eyes shut trying to get to sleep to block out the horror, that i could predict half the dialog before it hapened. just shit shit shit.

watched terry gilliam's tideland last week. that's creepy, rambling and self indulgant. awfull.

only film i've ever walked out of the cinema from was jersey girl. horrible, horrible film.

as for lost in translation. i agree that the casual "comedy" racism sits really uncomfortably with me too. really annoyed me when i first saw it. it's a huge ugly stain on an otherwise simple, sweet and beautiful looking film. real shame.

  • I honestly didn't find any of those clips funny.

  • Only film I walked out of was Independence Day

  • i walked out of wayne's world 2

  • does no-one else think Lost in Translation is brilliant???

    yep i do!

  • worst film ever in my opinion....

    Transporter 2

  • wayne's worlds 1 and 2 are wicked! Mike Myers is the man.

  • Are you saying Ghostbusters is a bad film? My life revolved around those 2 films till I was 11. I love 'em.

A Steven Segal film is a must. My choice: Out For A Kill

It even has that twat from So Solid Crew who Segal meets in prison, telling him to not forget about him...We never see this guy again for the rest of the film. Also to my knowledge Segal never changes his clothes for the duration of the film.

    Check out this scene:

    ...Serious WTF.

Most of the dialogue is added in after shooting, put in when the the actor's face isn't on-screen, to hide the fact that their lips aren't moving...

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0323531/usercomments

You beat me too it you bastard.

At one point in Out For A Kill ... They are filming a scene where the two cops are looking at Segal fighting some bloke in an aeroplane while flying it, the whole set appears to be rendered by a computer that possibly has the computational power of a abacus.

The first scene the set looks like it is made out of cardboard.

BUT MY FUCKING FAVOURITE.....is how they introduce the bad guys.....they have a close up face shot....then list their name, age and likes and dislikes. I swear one of the likes for some old Chinese looking geezer was "Wearing Ladies Underwear" and another "Chocolate Digestives".

Segal Kills the main bad guy at the end (seriously you do not wanna watch this film) by throwing a sword out (which looks about 5 feet long) of the window and decapitating the guy as he gets into his car, which sounds kinda cool, but the sword couldn't possibly fit through the window to be thrown out of.

  • Napolean Dynamite is possibly one of the worst films ever made. I just could not get it. I tried because everyone kept saying how great it was. But I could not find a single redeeming feature ad just turned it off after about an hour.

The worst film ever though has to be Open Water 2. Fucking ridiculous

  • Segal is in very bad films and is a piss poor actor - FACT!

Segal is NAILS! Fact. no other man on the planet can wear the pony tail with such style whilst being a slightly aggrieved italian ex cop come good, straight down the line mother loving boy from the streets. with a temper!

Knocked up! pathetic attempt at comedy, one of the very few films i have sat 3/4 of the way through and turned off! SHIT

  • "Before The Devil Knows You're Dead"

    Seymour Hoffman ?
    Lumet helming ?

    Oh dear god NO !!
    truly dreadful...
