its Radviamarinert grytestek, it says so in the bottom right of the picture!
Will, one of the better steak houses is the Gaucho Grill.

Gaucho Grill is a little overpriced. Santa Maria del Sur in Battersea is sensational - it's an offshoot of the original place in Hackney - google for the name if that's more convenient. Have eaten there twice. Have the mixed parillada and drink Malbec. Popeseye steak house in Putney is also excellent if you're south. Or fly to Japan and have Kobe beef at a teppanyaki place. That's what I'd do.

+1.
there's also one in Kensington Olympia - just 3 types of steak on the menu in varying sizes, served with chips - done. -

Ha, funny you should say that. I just ordered 1 kg of sirloin.

Grill is dear, Bodeans is US portions... i did have an amazing steak at that fancy place in borough market, its also a lovely setting if you ask for a window seat
What meat is that. it has virtually no fat marbelling in it and its a cut to big to come from a cow, (unless its tiny veg alongside a tornado).. as it's large, low in fat and active..I'd go with Bison short loin???

mmm..... Malbec!

Ahhh whale! Whales have more myoglobin (I think it's myoglobin) then land mammals which helps them to dive deep and long. Useless info I know but I thought I'd add it.

+lots.- 1 more, though be warned they only take cash or cheque. Whenever my veggie gf is away I grab a paper and get a table for one, with a large glass of malbec. Heaven!

Oh yeah and I think that Goucho chain is overly pricey and a bit style over substance - definitely not as good as it used to be when there were only a couple of restaurants.
'La Pampa' in Clapham Jnc is good (I've not been for a few years) - but it isn't cheap. If you're looking central The Bountiful Cow in Holborn is hard to beat, altho I'd say their burgers are slightly better than their steaks (not expensive either). Apparently it's Faye Mashler's fave steak place, if you're swayed by that type of thing.

They're also very tasty. I've had whale in Japan and Norway. Ate a seal in Norway too. I only travel to countries with appalling marine mammal welfare records.

That's the place that spawned Santa Maria del Sur in Battersea. Haven't eaten there, but meant to be even better.
