  • Excellent, catch you catz laters...

  • I'm in.

And Zabel has the nicest bike in the Tour; horizontal top tube FTW!

  • was talking about that bike on monday, it's fucking sweet. looks classic and modern, with 1970s colnago decals. it's my dreambike.

  • Hey pj, did you get my pm? If you are going to be at offside bar I can drop off your bag today.

it's great. do colnago produce the frame commercially? if not, they should

  • They will. It's stirred a lot of loins out there..

  • Sold.

  • oh, and can i buy from Evans under the cycle to work scheme?

  • It might get you a wheel.

  • I'm gutted I'm gonna miss the finish as I'm back in blighty. Champs Elysee/Arc du Triomphe is 300 yrds from my gaff :-(

  • Stompy and I were repping for the illest city wankaz! :)

    I won - I had a jacket and tie.

Pistanator, I'm heading to Paris this weekend with a couple of mates to watch the finish on sunday (taking bikes to do a few laps of the champs elysees on saturday as well). Any suggestions for a decent bar/other venue to watch the penultimate stage on saturday?

I'm still in Paris, back Friday night mate

As the whole area is generally very busy/touristy and well expensive I wouldn't suggest hanging around their too much especially for drinking. €8 a pint!!
I'd either get some nibbles from a supermarche and go and sit down on the southside of the river near Pont Alexandre III(bridge) near Des Invalides. Great views of The Eiffel Tower and quite a few bikers around there
If however you do only fancy a couple of pints and a sit down near the Arc du Triomphe/Champs Elysee I'd suggest going down Ave Carnot(I live on Rue St Ferdinand at the bottom of this road) or Ave du Wagram where there are quite a few decent(ish) bars to sit and watch sport(don't know about the TDF but I watched most of the Euro footy around there)
If you want more of an English Pub showing sport I'd try The Frog & Rostbif. English owned pub near Le Marais, corner of Rue Tiquotonne & Rue Turbigo

Paris is tiny so just bomb it around wherever you like the look of....

  • I won - I had a jacket and tie.

I only wear a suit and tie for weddings/funerals/interviews. Work can suck my balls.

  • I can't get to the pub, but I'm working from home and the TV has just gone on ;)

  • come on rob, you can be there in an hour TT style!

  • What time you getting there jonny?

  • I seriously do have to work!

but I got the tea and I got the chipolatas and tomatoes in wholemeal going on in a big way.

I think I need to avoid beer for a few days if you know what I mean!

  • was aiming for two, now aiming for 1330, and getting nearer. some people will be there from 1300 i reckon. see you down there dude

fair enough dude, got to respect that.

i managed to avoid the G for a good few days and am enjoying getting back on it

  • My 11am meeting hasn't started yet :(
It's either not going to :) or it will be later :(
Doctor Huez isn't going to be happy with me if I'm late..

  • For those of you stuck at work and want good coverage try this.

Use the Germany Eurosport for the footage and turn the volume down on the Media player
