How long have you had the Skinny Corduras for? I've got two pairs. The black ones don't stretch as much as the blue pair, but they seem to be holding out pretty well.

Well, I bought them in November and they have worn right down to threads and will be proper holes any day now. Chris was really helpful with the sale and they have other great features, but I really expected them to last longer than 4 months, especially the cordura ones.

I got the black ones in November, but have been riding in the blue ones since January. No issues so far. Time will tell though.

I bought mine on the hope that they would last twice as long as standard denim. My jeans usually go for around a year before they need patching. Sometimes longer, skinny jeans usually less. If these are going to fail in the same amount of time I won't bother with a second pair.

I bought mine oct/nov time and are wearing really well, the fabric is looking good, and only a single thread has gone from the crotch. If they were 501s they'd be fucked by now.
I think it also depends on the saddle you ride, more stiching/seams = more wear. My old arionne used to eat jeans for breakfast, the turbomatic is much better.

^ What I was thinking :(
I've got a charge knife, which is comfy as fuck, but notorious for wearing clothing due to the stitching.
Fuck.

Isn't it about time when the forum gets a discount? I need a new pair of jeans.

well I think after a couple of years I need to buy some new 3/4 shorts. Been rock climbing in them as well as cycling, so they are getting a bit worn out.
Still excellent value (and no major holes yet!)

It's all good, I'll keep going till I have stitched them up too often. Thanks :)

Anyone experienced both the WWR Trousers and Rapha's Softshells??? How'd they compare? Which ones are bestest?
By the time I get Swrve's troos shipped out to Australia they'll probably be the same price as each other.

where can I go and try on swere clothing? Velorutions?
-
• #496
Velorution is shut down. I would say Condor or Brixton are your best bet.
Alternatively Chris will usually let you try stuff on at his place in Brixton if you ask him nicely. -

I have the Rapha and Swrve 3/4 and find the Swrve the better cut. I also have the Swrve softshell troos and they are very decent kit

Thanks dude, that helps as I think I am leaning towards Swrve. Bloody love their jeans, and it looks like their trousers are a bit better for pockets and ting.

If anyone is after a pair of the jeans cheap, I have a pair of 36x32 that just aren't the right size for me. Worn them a few times but still in v good nick. Washed once. Will probably go a size smaller in the current sale. £40?
What do you mean by thread bare? Just wear marks or actual holes? Mine have some crotch wear but the fabric is very much intact.
I'm considering a second pair, but if their life is no better than normal jeans I may just get some normal denim.
