  • Anyone fancy swapping a pair of these 3/4 length shorts?

I have 34", and they are falling off me- would need 32".

    Cheers!

  • ordered jeans yesterday - arrived ten minutes ago. fit like a dream.

    come at me winter!

  • Mrs Braves just arrived now. Ordered yesterday as well. Great service I must say...

  • Oooh, I ordered yesterday... waits patiently by the door

  • I've had my WWR trousers for about a year and a half. I never used them much as I thought they looked a bit weird. But now they aren't up to the rain anyways, a complete writeoff after having been used for my commute less than 40 times in total.

In the beginning they were OK for showers, if not full on downpours, now they take in water as if they were of cotton. And I've only washed them once or twice - with nik wax.

At 85 quid I it's just not a good investment. I guess I will avoid proprietary fabrics from now on.

MMMmm, I'm the opposite, with my WWR shorts. I really like em. After successfully rewaterproofing my motane featherlite jacket with nikwax I'm going to have a go at rewaterproofing my shorts tommorow as there taking in water now

  • I'm wearing my jeans now..........perfect fit!

I'm well happy......I hate it when you sit down and the crotch feels tight because of ball size.....these remove unwelcome nut cinchage.......

They are probably really good on a bike, too

  • OMG gone Swrve crazy - bought full length WWRs and 3/4 Softshells in Prussian blue - now up to four pairs of swrve strides...

  • Nik Wax needs a tumble dry to finish it off I think

  • Anyone with exoperience of the wax-coated ltd ed jeans? I'm sorely tempted by something waterproof, stylish and cosy, but slightly worried I'm going to look like a Dom, or possibly the Hoff in them. Its either them of the 3/4 WWR shorts coupled with tights

Love Swrve kit for what's its worth: I have the softshell trousers which have made my winters more bearable for the last 2 years (helped by the fact they are completely retired for about 9 months of the year) and the skinny 3/4 shorts have been de facto all summer, now I need something new for the winter months (to make sure I don't get lazy)

  • Hah I'd love to see something with "Arctic Assault Grade" on the label

...Totally. We needs to make sure we get to Waitrose in one piece.

  • golly, I nearly choked on my responsibly sourced Patagonian scallops when I read that.

I'm a fan of Swrve stuff, but these are disappointing. The coating comes off after a few washes, even following their instructions, leaving you with a normal pair of black jeans.

    or

    Make your own greenland wax.

Just reproofed my Finisterre jacket with this^method. Works a treat and you get to colour your clothing with a big wax crayon, which is fun.

  • I plumped for the wwr shorts in the end, a bit of waterproofing over my winter toghts should do the job. Still need a decent pair of cycling jeans tho

  • I have the WWR shorts- which I have to get out of the second I get home due to over-heating if I leave them on.

  • Hmm I really like Swrve, but

is a bit too much of a rip off from Levis:

  • I think that's the point..

    just saying

  • I'm sure Levi stole that off Rapha anyway. Rapha invented everything, including the zip...

  • It's clearly the point, just a bit close.

Marky, yeah I'm awaiting the Rapha cease-desist !! Surely they invented clothing?

  • Not being naked. nice - but pricey

  • Oh Kirth, where is your SOH?
I really like Swrve because of the amusing ripping off
    Actually like the clothing itself!

  • I still love my jeans...........just about the best jeans ive had.
    That is all......

    I concur

  • I was thinking about buying some Swrve jeans from Condor tomorrow, or even some Rapha jeans, but then I found these Cadence ones at TFG. Any experience with these?
