I want absolutely the best wool jersey in the whole world, does theirs match this description, ?
-
• #153
depends what kind of wool, your looking for?
-
• #154
So I've actually tried on the wool jersey when I saw Chris a while back. It's really really nice... I was trying not to actually buy one (saving pennies and all that). If I see one again, I probably will buy it.

I really want some of those 100% merino tops that are made by woolistic, and sold by vintage velos, 148 usd, but they are pretty nice

yes, that sort of standard, like the thick one that can be worn on dry days as top layer,
also be good for work, social, meetings, so no logos, just top quality, swrve is winning right now. would get Rarpha cept staying close to my working class roots. -

I'd love to see you in Raahpha

I'm looking to buy a pair of swrve schoeller winter soft shell trousers and was wondering if anyone know how they fit... comparing them to say diesel jeans.....
-
• #159
they're quite stretchy so you may want to go down a size.
-
• #160
Chris told me that the softshell trousers and shorts come up small?
-
• #161
nabz, Condor stock Swrve now, Fitzoria Cycle, and I think Brixton Cycles as well.
-
• #162
hmm I have a pair of the softshell shorts and WWR shorts and go a size down as they are stretchy as, I thought it was the cotton ones that came up small.
Still, Ed is right - go and try some on.

go to Fitzrovia - best staffed bike shop in town

nabz, Condor stock Swrve now, Fitzoria Cycle, and I think Brixton Cycles as well.
i emailed swrv's uk supply chap yesterday and got this reply
Hi Russell
Yep, there shipped on there way to me, customes can be slow so 10 days give or take.
My best,
Chris
alas fitzys (best lbs in town by a country mile) don't have any swrv on the rails - and blixton have limited stock. looking for a large hooded soft shell - milwaukee i think its called - if anyone sees one please post. not tried condor yet and apparantly velorution are stockists so i'll poke my nose in there at lunch.
-
• #165
Wwr trousers are v stretchy, and I think they come up a bit big
-
• #166
Oh velorution did have some, the selection is rather small though, and Bikefix too, forget about them (again selection might be small but it's near Condor either way).

I got a black Swrve cycling jacket for £75 on sale from Tokyo Fixed Gear, and I have to say I love it! I use it as my winter jacket when I'm at the office, when I go out etc. It's not as shiny as in the below pic btw, it's more matt. Had many positive comments from people who don't even realise it's a cycling jacket.

does anyone know if the $200 jerseys are available in the U.K too?

Email Chris at Swrve (info@swrve.co.uk) in the UK and ask him?
It's rare that he doesn't bring a product displayed on the US site over here.
-
• #170
I hope so, I've been looking for something like that for donkeys. Those wax jackets look nice as well.
Am seeing Chris next Monday so will get an update. I would imagine that anything that is for sale in the US will eventually get to Chris in the UK though, it just depends how fast they can make it.Damn you Andy!
what he says...bah
-
• #171
yes thanks both,
will do now. -
• #172
That's from Swrve?
-
• #173
yep, old stock. They don't make them anymore.
Chris found they didnt sell that well over here, as they suited a US winter better than a UK one (i.e. cold and wet as opposed to cold and dry) -
• #174
The Milwaukee hoodie was just about useful for UK weather, stupidly warm and not entirely waterproof (in the heaviest of rain that is).
-
• #175
That's cos you boys run too hot! I lived in mine over winter - couldn't fault it.
^^that jacket has no waterproofing afaik.
Chris is a great guy, reserved some shorts on that that LDNFGSS Summer discount for me when I went abroad for a month and sent them over when I got back (and the discount page was gone), no problems.
