At school, a friend came in with a cold and sneezed in my face (on purpose). Next day I woke up and couldn't move for about a week and a half - that was the worst illness I've ever had! Apart from meningitis.

So is chicken pox worse if you get it when you're older?

In France, they would send you to a healer in the countryside who would spit on you and then you'd be cured.
Promise, I know people who had it done.

Well, I've just been for a strong pain-killing injection in my backside, which has done the trick. Not that I'm suspicious of the spitting treatment...

I remember my mum applying liberal amounts of camomile lotion, and the horrible feeling of it cracking all over my back. Experienced that? I was only 3 or 4 when I got it though.
