H Lloyd Cycles have a massive range and might save you some postage compared to the link above since they're UK based.

is it wise to use a clearcoat spray over some new transfers on a frame that's already been stove enamelled. Or will this do something weird?

Some help from forum members would be much appreciated here.
So I'm building up a Condor Pista Stealth but want to make a nod to the heritage of Condor by having a small old school Condor crest on the seat tube by the BB.
The decal I have from Condor doesn't appear to be a sticker, how the hell do you affix it to the frame, is there an adhesive which is for decals?

can you show us the decal?
if you recognize heavy rise paper on one side
could be water decal.
You should let it in water for 2' and then slide it
were you want it.
When you correct it's position, drain it softly with a sleek
cloth. Cover it with clear coat when you are sure that is dry. -

Nice one, I think you've hit the nail on the head. Is it a real problem for the decal if I don't cover it in lacquer? What I mean is, will it stay affixed or will it gradually peal off?

Hi all, thought I'd ask the question here rather than starting a new post.
I've had a frame lacquered and powdered by Armourtex - looks great - but now I need to apply the decals. It's a Lynx Cycles frame and I've managed to get original decals direct from the frame builder (who is now 95 years old!).
The decals are 'solvent applied transfers'. Here's what the frame builder said..."The transfers are metholated spirit but we find you get better results giving them a coat of transfer varnish"
I then contacted Nick from hlloydcycles.com and he recommended I don't try to apply them myself and should go to a specialist.
So, any advice? Can anyone recommend a specialist in London? Or should I go ahead and try myself?
Thanks for any help

This place reckon they can do decals. Told them I wante a super thin clear vinyl sticker with two colour graphics of my own design to mount between a stove enamel and final lacquer on a steel frame. Genuinely understood what I meant which was nice so I'm off there on monday to see what they can do. Don't know the cost till they see the work but it's about 800 yards away so no biggie.

For the record it's a Young's frame which will have the period correct head badge transfer reading 'handbuilt in Lewisham' so my seat tube will have "Rebuilt in Lewisham January 2012' then a small design that reads WITH LOVE then 'quarante annees' underneath. Sounds iffy but looks the nuts. Friend is a graphic designer so he's created a font for LOVE and at my request used rotis serif for the other text.
Same as Peter Saville used on the cover of New Orders Regret. Cause I'm northern. My wife is 40 in Jan and it's her present from me.

Woah, the print place I went to have a minimum spend of £150. They kindly did a 'test' print for gratis but I think for one of projects they ain't the guys to call.

Hi, I have got some NOS Claud Butler transfers. They are from '80s but I do not have any instructions on how to apply. I believe they are 'spirit fix' any ideas?
I have been wondering the same thing my frame was sprayed at armor tex and i would like some nice lee cooper decals would powder coating be any different?
