Bob jackson vigorelli (everyday fixed)
feather cycles (fair-weather fixed)
colnago dream b-stay with ultegrathankfully been like that for about a year now. I think i'm actually in profit for bike-related purchases/sales over the last twelve months. Top tip: If anyone wants to spend about £250,000 on nappies and the such, over the next 20 years , have a baby.

Well my first post in this thread from 2008 I had 1 working bike, 1 broken and one frame. 2nd post below, 3 and a frame.
I now have 4 totally working:
Tourer/alphine (Genesis day-one)
Polo bike (on one pomp)
Kid carrying bike (charge steamer)
Fixed (Parks)
2 broken
Racer (trek 1000, broken crank and rusting)
Downtube tourer (Dawes galaxy, basically working)
And 2 frames:
Back up polo bike (pompetamin)
Mountain bike (Saracen)But also in the last 4 years my collection has been augmented by my girlfriends bikes:
Geared (cannondale badboy)
Fixed (specialised tricross)
And about 5 children's bikes (if you count the tag along and trailer as bikes?Still no tandems, recumbents or unicycles... But it's only a matter of time.
3.5
Geared Racer (alu, first bike I bought with my money)
Dawes galaxy commuter (from the 70's with top tube shifters, which effectively makes it single speed when I'm riding it!)
raleigh fixed polo bike
rather pretty old steel track frame that I'm going to lavish realy expensive parts on... when i can aford it! :-)Would also like a commuter fixed so I don't have to ride the polo bike on days when I'm not playing polo...
After that I'll be getting a tandem and at some point after that, I'll probably get a unicycle... and after that I'll probably start getting recumbents (probably some point :-)

what's a bike?

It's quite nice, bit rusty in parts but should be good when I sort the wheels out.

Interesting thread. My bikes
1) Dawes Jaguar 1993 now restored
2) Geoffrey Butler1996 Columbus Aelle - now a summer touring fixie
3) Raleigh Clubman 1999 - now resored
4) Ali road winter bike - 2004 weighs a ton -
5) Surly crosscheck 2012 - brilliant
6) Surly steamroller 2013 build in progressI don't like to dispense with my old bikes, I suppose they bring back happy times.
It's not expensive to fit tyres, chains when they wear out. I use them all even the ali winterbike.I 'd like to add a ss 29er but I live in w london where there's really nowhere to ride.
I got divorced and now have three new bikes in the pipeline :)
