How many bikes do you own?

i have one fixed bike.

i do have a collection of 46 super-cars and classic sports-cars in a climate controlled converted stable block, though.

One braked fix, one brakeless, one lo-pro brakeless and the frame of one too perfect to use under the bed, sometimes i slide her out (she's in an open top box in bubble wrap), caress her tubes and decals and imagine i'm riding her. But then I think of all the bad things that could happen to her, and I slip her back into her safe under-bed haven. I call her RenshoFritzl.

The other problem is the time in maintenance, cleaning, oiling, pumping, riding, bullshitting, pimping, crashing, fixing, sportiving, posting, posing, buying, swapping, sellling, powdercoating, clear coating, Humbrolling, it's fucking never ending.

just stick to the oiling, bullshitting and riding then, it's much easier when you break it down to the essentials

guess the next question is. where do you store all your bikes?
have already difficulties with the two (fixed, road). space is the limiting factor for getting any more.

The MTB lives in the dump that is my garage, the rest live in luxury in my conservatory.

OMG... what have I done... I just got myself another frame...:(

so now I have one hybrid.. one hybrid for wife... one fixed..one road and one frame..

1 road (with a cross frame). 1 fixed (with flip flop ss). One hybrid.

where you people keep these impressive collections? this is a london based forum right? i live in a one and a half bedroom flat that I can barely afford and just about have room for one bike in the spare room and i have to carry that up and down two flights of stairs twice a day.

to be fair i do have a lot of guitars and amps taking up most of the space...

One stays inside/outside, 2 x with the front wheel off in a cupboard where my clothes should live.
My building has semi secure bike parking so it's not so bad, you're only allowed one bike in the rack though. Frames and bits are on the floor or in the small cupboards above the bigger cupboards.

I keep one in the hall, one in the livingroom (along with a selection of front wheels depending on which mood takes my fancy), and one frame, and another 5 wheels and other miscellaneous bike bits in my bedroom. Which is absolutely full.

1 fixed, 1 road, 1 POS MTB awaiting some cables and good riddance on t'bay.
