  • They get it wrong all the time so let's wait and see. That said, I'm from the Billy Connolly school of weather forecasting "if you want to know what the weather's doing, look out the fucking window!"

  • Sweet. Liverpool Street at 7:45 then. Rest of yous, see you up there. Woop woop!

Was planning on doing this tomorrow. Might join you for the ride down if that's OK? Where abouts on/outside Liverpool St were you thinking?

  • the big spike at south of london bridge outside evans?

ok but if i'm not there, its cuz i like sleep more then you.

Outside the main entrance I guess, we're tagging on to Julio so best check with her.

    Just say No to rain.

  • if it does rain the track will be closed anyway they don't ride on a damp track

it gets very slippery don't you know

  • yeah, that's why we won't be going if its raining!

We're meeting outside Tesco's opposite/outside Liverpool St station.

We're gonna do a 7am weather check and then decide whether to set off. If anyone wants my number to check if we're still going, then PM me

I really, really hope it doesn't rain. But the forecast is shite

  • that's lame. Come on rain, don't rain mate!

  • Dependent on weather, I'll be coming down for the early sesh too. In terms of shoes, what's the score? I've spuds and race cleats on my two pairs of cycling shoes. (I'll have to hire a bike, not being in posession of a no brake).

  • just take brake off ;)

  • Could do - actually that's prob the easiest thing to do. However - 48x17 = too spinny for track?

  • I am desperately trying to get my track bike built up in time for the track day. Just over a week to go think I will be pushed for time

  • what do you need to finish it mikec?

@mouse - yeah, that will be way too spinny - just use one of their bikes for the induction and sort out a smaller sprocket for yours for next sunday?

  • Could do - actually that's prob the easiest thing to do. However - 48x17 = too spinny for track?

i did it 48x16 and it was ok, could keep up in the medium group.

  • um.. I'll be hiring a bike for sure. Better check - they do do pedals & clips right?

  • clips and straps are what i saw on hire bikes.

  • pajamas - yep

can use your own pedals on their bikes if you can be arsed to swap

  • cool

  • Hi Johnny,

Once I get the new (pre-built) wheels hopefully next week, I will need a chain, sprocket(s) seatpost and saddle. A front brake but that can wait.

May put my seatpost on but I think the reach might then be too long frame is 58cm with a 110mm length stem. A lay-back seat may just be too long, but I shall test it and see. Otherwise I will just grab a cheap post from somewhere.

Its coming along nicely, I cant wait to start riding it

  • Thats a no then.

  • hey ray - you down that way? It looks a bit grotty out there

  • hey ray - you down that way? It looks a bit grotty out there

nope im not, its back to sleep for me.

  • Thinking the same thing

    boooooo

    See you later

  • yep... lookin forward to it... good luck.

    Shin

  • Julio just texted Robo, looks like it's off due to a damp surface at HH.

Back to bed for me, then...

  • Got as far as the end of my road thinking "maybe it'll be dry down south" and it's "only a light shower" then gave it up as a bad job as my shoes started to fill up with water. Gutted.
