  • Anyone tried Whites on Whitecross Street?

  • ^^+1 for Mr Ducktail, awesome guy

  • What's the rough price for a boys haircut?
I can't get to my regular hairdressers, and I am far to fussy to go to a barbers.

  • i like ones that take their time

  • clippers, can be pretty damn fast

  • This one was the fastest;

  • Anyone tried Whites on Whitecross Street?

I haven't had my hair cut by him, but the guy who runs it, Paul, is a friend. He's good, by all accounts. He rides his condor fixed in from Sutton! Not bad. Say 'hi' from me if you go.

  • anyone used Rush?
my thread seems to have been absorbed by this.
(I am not looking for alternatives as i do not live in London)

  • Well tell someone, anyone, where the fuck 'rush' is, that would be a start.

Your thread was merged with this one, cos it was a pointless move to start your own thread to ask this.

  • Rush are a chain of hairdressers.
There are literally dozens of salons over the south of england.
Apologies for starting a new thread.
I will try not to do it again.

  • So you are asking about a chain of hairdressers without actually specifying which one you would be going to? Somewhat pointless, no?

  • Vic on Gray's Inn Road next to Hubbards for Cupboards. 10 bob and he'll bang a bit of American Crew in there if required. He's got good chat too.

  • Anyone know an old school barbers around Hackney, a al Mr Ducktail, where I can get my rockabilly on without cycling through central London at rush hour? Ta.

  • Dunno about a barbers but Ive become rather adept at cutting my hair with these:

edit, actually most recent cut isnt that great, slightly Beatles esque.

  • Grace gents hairstyle 17 Fordham Street, London E1 1HS

Nice guys , simple cut, £5, job done.

None of that poncy shit, tell how short you want it where, let them cut it, use thinning shears, style it your self. I always go here when I'm broke!

  • Anyone have any recommendations or somewhere good in east? Moved back from Brighton and would really appreciate some advice.

  • Wanstead. Just opposite where the W12 and 101 buses start. Cant remember the name of the place. Spurs fans, but you can't have it all I suppose.

  • Quite east, I know. Almost Essex.

When I lived east I used to go to these guys - http://www.kaizo-uk.com/

    Nice people. Not obscene prices.

  • Has anyone used the barber shop by Herne Hill station?

  • Huckle the Barber recently gave me the best haircut of my life, no joke

  • Has anyone used the barber shop by Herne Hill station?

Looks a bit artisan to me, what's wrong with Andy's in Brixton?

  • Hadn't heard of Andy's before.

My girlfriend mentioned the place in Herne Hill and said it was £12 for a cut.

She is into the artisan thing though.

  • I think Andy's (bottom of Tulse Hill, opposite Hootenanny, it's actually called Haircut, Sir?) is still about £6.50 for a cut... Haven't been in for ages tho', gf does me with the clippers*... His son and daughter run it now, I think Andy only comes in on a Saturday...

    • not a euph
  • My barber when away on holidays is awesome. Cuts hair till 6PM and then does tattoos till midnight.
