Would be nice to buck the trend by cheering and dancing about when we lose. Rather than looking all po faced for the Germans to enjoy.
Don't give them the satisfaction.

satisfaction? it's just football.

While I'm indifferent to the fate of a bunch of overpaid tossers kicking an inflated pig's bladder around a field, the truly "epic fail" on the night was the failure to spot that the Ingerrrrlllaaaand had managed to kick the ball into the goal for a second time.

They kick the ball in the goal again? brilliant.
I do wish England lost the first night, just to see everyone hard work of advertising, putting up poster, flag, etc. end up being pulled down.

If it's just football then why do you wish they lost?
Getting annoyed about sports on existential grounds = fail.
"But it's just kicking a ball in a net", yes it is, and you're just typing on an internet forum. You follow this logic to it's conclusion and we all come off bad

The WC has been great. Keeping me distracted until the Tour starts.

Even when they win they still find something to whine about. I was watching it in a pub in North London with a group of 5 Germans, that was a fantastic few hours.

Ed, what does this mean? Are you saying that feeling passion for a sport and it's associated rivalries and grudges is pointless?
