Me, this morning, falling asleep on the train for 5 hours and having my phone stolen.

Also a fail on the thief's part, since my phone was about a decade old and had a PAYG simcard without any credit.

Well, I've no idea where I went while I was sleeping. I woke up in the station I'd left, but the train was on another platform, and about to set off for a completely different town. It's a local service, and journeys normally last about 45 min - 1 hr, so I reckon I probably did about 3 or 4 "laps".

Oh,and the thief picked up the phone when my mate called to find out where I was. He explained that he'd stolen it, and last time he'd seen me I'd been on my way back into Barcelona.

It's all brought back lovely memories... waking up on an empty tube carriage in High Barnet... being kicked off the bus in North Finchley to wait in the cold while the driver reads the paper for 30 minutes before letting me back on. Got to stop doing this.

Me baking a cake. Thought I could cut some corners and bought vegetable fat (for pastry) instead of butter/marg, it didn't really mix in too well with the rest of the mixture but I thought it would be ok once in the oven. My 'cake' is now being fried from the top by a nice pool of bubbling vegetable fat.

My sister bakes about two cakes a week and always uses just regular vegetable oil.

I think it was the lumps (and lack of a proper mixture being formed) which caused the problems. The cake ended up being more of a stodgy pudding type affair, tasted pretty good though.
