New in PN: @5DollarFeminist explains Truth Social
"The launch was a little rocky. It didn't occur to anyone to reserve
accounts such as @ donaldjtrump, which posted an image of a pig
defecating on its own scrotum within moments of the site’s launch." -

Given how strict German anti-Nazi laws are, the chances of a German company’s design team being naive about an obvious resemblance to one of Nazism’s most notoriously violent symbols are, I would wager, zero. Is it legit or is it shopped? If legit, several someones need a’firin’.

Its legit and they’ve stopped letting people pick that number while they change the font

Could be an april fools, but considering the single 4 and the recent contoverse around neo nazism, that would be edgy to say the least.

No. Which is why it's unlikely anyone decided to put the 4's next to each other to test for nazism.
Classic mistake.
Everyone knows when you commission a new font, the first thing you do is have the typographer's intern put every combination of letters and numbers next to each other to proactively identify for extremest symbolism.
They properly dropped the ball here.

Bit of a catastrophic fail, probably a few forms to fill in and some extra training courses to attend.

'People getting shot' has become the norm. Here's another one https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/01/california-police-video-shooting-15-year-old-girl-savannah-graziano Cops had a big operation to rescue a 15 year old girl, kidnapped by her father (after he'd shot her mother). They cornered him when he wrecked his pickup. One cop shouted at her to get of the pickup and walk to a cop car. Another cop, noting that the girl was wearing a helmet and a body armour vest, thought she was her father and shot her.

Fixed, feeling #soblessed that handguns are rare here.

Anyone ever used Fettle for bike servicing? Or worked there?
Last year I took my urban arrow in for an emergency battery lock change as I lost the key. While I was there I asked for a breakdown of prices on a full service. I had recently injured my spine, been unpaid by my employer, and fined by HMRC, so was very clear I needed prices before committing to any work beyond the absolutely necessary to stay on the road.
All my emails, calls and texts bounced back because they don't support replies. I was charged for work I couldn't afford, and spent the day on the phone getting it sorted. Bike was delivered by a driver who couldn't find me, couldn't speak English, couldn't use Google maps and who called me repeatedly while I was working on site from a phone that didn't support replies, so I couldn't send them my location. I eventually ran down the road to flag them down, and found the workshop had forgotten to put my battery back in.
The guy who rode down later with the battery was apologetic, and seemed like a decent bloke, and the driver was trying their best and was as stressed as me. The problem is the utterly useless communication. A year later I'm still getting spam from them.
Happily, the Cyclery Lewisham say they are training to service Bosch motors, will be great to have a local option.
