Tory party "hard-working" bot is just phoning it in now

But lazy, workshy fops are allowed to take known, tested drugs?
-
• #22104
And non-citizens too. Anything goes if you're a tourist.
-
• #22105
I read that as they will allow untested/unknown/potential harmful drugs to be tested on non-working citizens. This is so they can work out what's good for the hard working citizens.

Ow dear. Pun away...
(fair play for event organisers btw)The win about the naked bike ride is of course that when enough show up, Plod cannot be bothered to arrest everyone for a reasonably small offense. Power to the people?

They didn't ask if the bike was OK too. Tsss... :)

I did one of the London naked bike rides and found it a thoroughly awkward affair. I was talked into it by a beautiful female friend and we were supposed to be riding as a group including her fiancé. When I showed up on the day everyone else had bailed and it was just her and me. We were constantly surrounded by a group of leering men and literally tens of old men came up asking to have their photo taken with her, or even people pushing past to ride ahead of us at traffic lights and turning back to take photos of her.
When she first mentioned it, it sounded like a bit of a laugh... A load of people getting their kit of and riding around London for some jokes and to raise awareness for a good cause. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised but FAR too many of the participants seemed to only be there to seek out and gawk at women. Pity.

Wait, it's supposed to raise awareness for something? It's doing a terrible job. I just assumed it was hippies being hippies.

Whatever it used to be about, it's now just seems to be voyeurs, exhibitionists and the naive.

Pics or it didn't happen.

It was several years ago, and at least the pre-ride hype was strongly pushing a cause. I think this one in particular was about cycle safety. It started in Hyde park, and immediately before the ride (when most people still had their clothes on, or were stripping off) I remember the vibe was really positive... things only went wrong once we were out in the wilds of London.
@goonz, not a single person asked for a picture of me naked that day, and if they had I'd have probably been too incensed to agree. However since you asked so nicely I'll send you a PM.

I too did a Naked Bike Ride in Brighton a couple of years ago with my gf. Completely agree: it should have been fun but it was very sleezy. At the start everyone taking part was getting their kit off in this sectioned off area of a park. Old men were marching into the area with cameras and literally standing in front of groups of girls and zooming in on their bits and pieces. It got pretty heated when a group of cyclists called them out for being pervs, I thought it was all going to kick off.. wiggly wobbly bits would have been flapping about everywhere. Also when we rode through the city center the pavements were 4 or 5 deep with people holding camera phones, recording you.
Unless you're a complete exhibitionist, I wouldn't recommend it. Too pervy. Don't think I'd do it again.
