Epic fail

Just paid £100 for 3/4 of a tank of Diesel.
Fuck.

I literally have no idea how people who use a car more than 3 times a year afford this....
may have to rethink (again) my car purchasing aspirations....
(and yes- in an ideal world I'd be car free- but i can't be entirely cos of all my stuff that needs moving around)

and back in london monday so hopefully be spotted- though my day may start earlier than before...

also double fail- the land rover's fuel cap latch broke so I fixed it with duct tape.
and treble- having left Devon at 7am, post fresh egg and chicken coop clean out- I felt knackered on the M5 and fell asleep at a services for 2 hrs.
got in 10 mins ago.

managed 40mpg though- not bad for a massive POC land rover.

I always wanted to make friends with landed gentry.

massive fail on friday.

after getting my new rear wheel delivered to work i slapped a new tire and tube on an set off to pick up my son.
ten mins into my journey the tire whent flat, right outside evans. ok i thought, i'll quickly pop my spare tube on and use evans' pump.
so, with the new tube on i start to pump, at about 70psi the tube goes flat again. fuck. i have exactly £5 to my name so into evans i go to get there 4.99 tube. start to pump and again at 70 psi it goes flat.
then the epicness of my fail becomes apparent. i dint put any fucking rim tape on!

so im stuck in holborn, late to pick up my son with no money, when the guy from evans (who's sussed whats happend and knows im skint as ive already exclamed how lucky it was that i only had a fiver when buying the new tube) walks out the shop with a tube and some rim tape, hands it to me and says "dont worry mate, sort us out next week"

so, to the guy that helped me, i salut you! and there will be a JD and coke coming your way tonight.
