You guys are awesome/tossers [delete as appropriate].
Reading this has made me spend most of my food money for the month on bmx parts. -

This has just popped up on Gumtree, looks legit. Im after a BMX and it seems a good price. Anyone wanna point anything bad out before i call him and go see it tonight?

Conan. That BMX looks ok. I wouldn't pay £160 for it though. It will be really heavy and the components wont be the best. Wethepeople do really good compleates. I would go the extra mile and get a new one. They are really good value for what you get on them now. Have a look.

To be honest im not gonna be riding it that hard, just cruising and a few tricks here n there so dont wanna splash out on a brand new complete, not that i can afford it anyway. Think ill try see it tonight and see if he'll take a bit less for it. Thanks for the advice guys.

If he is small he might be better off with a 16" or 18" wheeled BMX.

My Eastern Tarzan is now gone - the Holdsworth renovation cost more than I thought and couldn't afford to eat unless I found some money from somewhere. Took it out on Sunday, just up the road doing bunny hops and stuff, and have never regretted anything more in my life. Felt really natural, in spite of being heavy and small.
Went for £77 in the end - gutted...

£77? Thats shit. I just sold my Redline John Purse Cruiser for £220.

Part of me's saying fair enough - it's money in the bank that I wouldn't have had otherwise. The other part is wondering what the hell happened. Ok so it wasn't brand spanking, but it was in fantastic condition, and the Primo cranks alone cost me £130 new. The worst thing is how many people have messaged me after saying they forgot the auction was on and would have bid way more than that.
It's not so much the money - just that I've got so many memories of that bike and probably would have kept it if I knew it was going to go for so little. That and the fact I've just got rid of a part of my past that just didn't give a fuck - now it's all suits, commutes and mortgages.
Maybe I should go and set something on fire for some self-affirmation...

yeah fire would help things. Although it should be something quite juvenile. Like a bottle of aftershave poured on your homework and set alight. Yeah!
