Not really. Discs provide too much stopping power too sudden. Put them on the front and during a panicked stop on the court you're endo'ing. Put them on the rear and you're skidding.
Plus it's another thin piece of aluminum that could get bent and end up in the pile of things that break.

Bill is right about the finesse of using a break. No idea what he's on about with women though! ;)
