I just called Paula at GLL and they are now charging us £40 per hour. I thought we had that worked out; last time I hired the court (last autumn) I paid £10 per hour.
Anyone remember who had the number to call and get Mitch cleaned? I think it was Nik. But does anyone else have it?

@Oliver Schick can you assist us with the above?
Big Ed I believe was also in touch with the park rangers to get Mitch cleaned, give him a shout?

Anyone have Big Ed's digits? Pm to me?

Honestly, not again; I think that's the third time they've reset this? I'll send an e-mail.

Sounds about right. Thanks.

About cleaning Mitch? Yo G, can you add the email to the OP?

Talked to Dave Bamford at Islington Council (cheers, Big Ed). He said they were already scheduling a cleaning for Mitch and hope it comes early next week. I've got his direct number, so I can call him any time we need to ask about the court.

Just came here to post the same thing

The other guy's name at the Council is James Vincent.
Maybe put those two names in the OP?

I've had a reply from Hackney (well, GLL), too. The higher charge was a mistake. I'll forward the e-mail to Matt in a minute.

Thanks, Oliver, you are a legend. I just spoke to Paula at GLL and she confirmed they will now charge us £10 per hour for the Hackney Downs MUGA during winter.
Phoenix: Do we want to hire the Hackney Downs MUGA every Thurs over the winter season? £30 per night from 7-10pm.

I thought they have a cut-off at 9pm or have they changed this?
-
• #27770
I could put in for that, though wont Max flip out if we abandon Mitch?
-
• #27772
What's the point in paying for downs every Thursday when Mitch is free?
-
• #27773
Mitch gets all the leaves and muck that Downs doesn't get, which can be quite dangerous. Also, if we can get lights until 10pm that would be better than Mitch.

It just has not been maintained as much since we have not been escalating the issue to them much. Someone needs to give them a call and/or email on a regular basis.
On the subject on muck, has anyone been to Downs recently? IIRC it does have the issue of moss growing on quite a few areas, notably the corners near the gates. Might want to have a word with Paula and ask them to jet wash it.
Yeah, it was your game Chuk's against 6 feet under which they cut off the lights at half 8 and we have to then relocate to Mitch.

They have just said they would clean Mitch, we now have contact details for them and we can chase them about staying on top of it.
I just don't see the point in paying for a court when we have a perfectly good one for free.
Also, it's good to keep up appearances at Mitch, as the property developer keeps emailing to see if we still use it, as they want to consult us about the new court they are building.
