don't bother with the bags man, it's fine as it is. I got one nice rebound and loads that were messed up, but fuck it, you have to cope and correct.

its always luck of the draw though. fuck the bags
Shrug
This is one of the reasons why NE is still the nicest court (imo).
-
• #1607
I agree, NE is still the nicest court but it doesn't have lights. I'm still looking for another lit & enclosed court without railings and shit.
-
• #1608
p.s. mark, i think i have a 42t ring you can have. don't know the bcd though ... want me to bring it to next polo?

Tom and Horatio, how was the hunting for new courts yesterday night?
any good news

Isn't Bath street tiny?

Bath St...
isnt it a bit smaller?
-
• #1613
Yeah, the lights are great there. And the railing ain't so bad actually. You know it's there, and you avoid it or try to use it. You get those "own" passes from it on the rare occasion. Nice stuff.

Bath is very small (or seemed like it when Otters and I stopped by).
I didn't go, Rik, but Tom thinks he found an amazing day court.
Actually, should you call that shit, Tom?
-
• #1615
That ball we used last night was good too. I'm gonna order me some of those.
-
• #1616

it looks a bit smaller than downham, but it has higher walls and is fully enclosed, so that could be deceiving. we'd have to play it to check the size properly.
-
• #1617
Oh, and Otters - I think I've got my 42s taken care of. Thanks though!
-
• #1618
what balls are that ones Otti?

what balls are that ones Otti?
I think Matt brought them, after getting them from the U.S.
I've PM'd him to check his source, then i'll order a big batch.

Re. courts, I did find a really great day time court, lovely size and surface and nowhere for the ball to escape, but no lights @ Malta Street.
Another cracking court WITH lights at Devizes Street next to Shoreditch park, but it is in the centre of an estate and looks like it is in constant use. There were about 30 people playing football there last night.I've still got a few to check out, but so far (of the ones we've played) Broadway gets the evening games vote...

So I missed a night of polo and now have withdrawal symptoms. Looks like I'm going to have to cancel BMXing on Saturday so I can play. See you all at Gabes coffee morning.

I'll be bringing one of these on Saturday:
Any of you got spare plastic cups sitting around at home waiting for an opportunity like this?
-
• #1623
I've got a Tesco across the street always ready for opportunities like this. But I don't really know if those things are cost-effective?
Still fun though.

We found one last night. Well, two actually, next to each other - great if there are kids wanting to play as well.
Floodlit and fully enclosed. I think they are the courts that Scott Duck used to play on just off Trinity St SE1.

hmm. we used just a big open concrete slab and built a breakable court.
ill do a little diagram and post it
its always luck of the draw though. fuck the bags
