• Yep. The kids can no longer throw the cones out of the court, or chuck stuff over the fence. Okay, maybe small stuff, piss bottles, etc..Do they realise how much stuff will potentially be dumped on the roof?

  • good point!

  • Like children treating it like a hammock?

  • Should get off work at 6-ish tomorrow hence up for a 6.30-ish start. Put your names down.

    Monday then...

  • Anyone up for helping me make a mallet tomorrow?

I think all I need is a m6 rod to place the nut, a hacksaw and a drill.

  • I used a bit of blu tack to attach a spoke to the nut then slid it down the shaft then tighted the screw in the bottom of the shaft (sans head) to draw it in and secure it. A bit fiddley and took a few goes to get right but if you don't have any studding it works fine.

  • Thats what I was thinking... something like an unfolded clothes hanger might do it rather than a long threaded rod.

  • That could work, still kinda stuck for a drill though. Hacksaw I can splashout £1.99 on a cheap one.

  • Sunny south games tomorrow?

  • Have you got a 3pmh head?
I dont think you need a drill with them, just shove the nut into the bolt at the end of the pole and tighten it up.
I have a hacksaw you can borrow.

  • I thought they still needed drilled ever so slightly. I'll have a look when I get home.
