The former is slightly smaller, quite a bit lighter and seems to be ever so slightly softer material that dampens impacts. Easier to aim shots because you don't have to hit it so hard and it spins less.

The latter is what we have used for the past year and a half or so... heavy, damaging and bouncy. Harder to aim because you have to really wind up to hit it and it could have left, right or top spin on it causing to go wide or cut in.

Some good games last night... and some absolute thrashings... Good fun. Bugger about the light levels. Nobody sat out a game the whole evening.
