  • ... Nuff Cock being a German track sprinter who she beat in the 2010 European Track Championships.

  • I feel like I've fallen into a fixie wormhole and travelled back to 2008 on this page...

Neg reps all 'round... Especially Dovvles...

  • The comment a few up about Lemond being clean. Is that on the basis that using drungs that are subsequently banned is clean? Colin Sturgess (team mate at ADR the year he won) has frequently implied that he was one of the earliest users of EPO.

As for smoking,no idea about Pendleton but know of more than 1 of the olympic medalists that does. Once heard a cracking story about Dave Le Grys at the track masters, he was regularly smoking outside bewtween races, kicked ass and by the end of the week a number of the Japenese riders had been told to start smoking by their coach!

  • Have we an unchopped photo of pendleton?

To be honest, I found her a lot more attractive before I found out she smokes!

    She smokes? That's HOT!

Where are you getting your info from? Other bike forums, like this..

It is hard to judge whether he is suggesting that his former team mate went the whole super juicing route of Pharmstrong et al, (FWO I think on balance that he probably is) but he certainly links him to a banned product called Survector.
When challenged about his 'innuendo' -shock, there are House type characters on all forums-he defends himself by stating that his comments are based on his knowledge and experience as a former pro, rather than mere anecdote.
    Quite interesting, from an insider.
Yes, but for a start he's not using his real name so clearly doesn't want to be on the record about any of this. Secondly, the only product he's mentioned in connection with Lemond wasn't on the banned list until 1992. Thirdly, he's only confessed to using 'grey-area' substances himself, which I took to mean things that you might consider immoral but not outside the laws of the sport.

Survector, by the way, is a short-acting upper. It's a prescription medication for depression and is very rarely used medically nowadays. As I said, it was placed on the UCI banned list in 1992.

He posts under the name of another prescription medication, used for treating patients with severely low phosphate levels, such as those undergoing kidney dialysis. This is seemingly not a banned substance, and has been openly used by at least one Italian football club.

  • an amazing finish there. 5th to 1st over such a short distance, anyone would think the others weren't actually sprinting.
renshaw looked a bit pissed, he probably though it was his.

  • Awesome. Was 50 yards from the finish but needed ITV4 to fully appreciate the effort.

I was 75 yards from the finish and took lots of photos which are now on my blog here. I originally mixed up Cav and Renshaw. It's almost unbelievable that he won, from looking at the final photo taken with 50 yards to go. He was WAY back.

12 The British bike industry now contributes £3bn to our economy and sprinter Mark Cavendish, the David Beckham of cycling, who has won in Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, this year wore the green jersey in the Tour de France, which signified he was the best sprinter in the field. In 2011, "Cav" could become the fastest man in the world on two wheels.

  • I enjoyed watching the Time Trial of the Tour yesterday at the Tower. I never realised there was a stage race afterwards though otherwise I would have stuck around. Great seeing all those bikes and riders in the flesh :)
