  • it's all about being the alpha male

He's fucked up there massively then!

He's 5 foot nothing, from the Isle of Man and competes in a niche sport that most people call "gay".

    You're on the list.

he's a short one, is he? that explains a lot.

  • He's a superstar.

  • Maybe he's tall for IOM?

It happens you know, geographical areas have different average population heights..
When I've been to France, especially Brittany, I've noticed I'm a head taller than most people, which is great in a crowd. But in London I'm an average short arse at 182cm.

  • The more I watch the World Cup the more proud I am of 'our' sport. The way the Italians(and most other teams) dive on the floor after being gently knocked and crying like babies while looking through their fingers to make sure theyre getting attention like big fucking babies, make me want to throw a brick through my telly.
Cyclists are proper hard bastards, and sprinters especially need balls the size of, um, BIG balls. Cav strayed from his line once, riding at 40mph, so what. Mistakes happen when youre going that fast and all those chemicals are rushing through your body (I expect!)

    FUCK YEAH!

  • Englishman holidaying on the IoM.
We taught him a lesson hell never forget.

Thats Cav, just above the guys right foot.

  • ^ at least his line is straight.

  • He started at the Knee.

  • He's a sprinter, it's all about being the alpha male so of course he's going to come out with trash talk like that. McEwen and Cipollini did it and before them Kelly and Vanderaerden did it.

    I'm totally with that.
I do it myself, if I'm honest, and I have a shite load less justification.

I just hate the claiming not to give 100% thing, drives me mad.

  • To be fair to him, he won a lot of sprints so easily last year he probably didn't have to give it all. I only remember one sprint where it looked like he really had to work for it.

McEwan did it without a massive leadout train though.. fucking legend.. and Zabel.. how many green jerseys there, Mr? :)

  • Cavendish gave it 100% to beat Haussler at Milan-San Remo. That was about national pride though.

  • I guess he must be shit now then.. if he can't pass Haussler. Is the IOM a nation? I thought it was England's funny little brother, kinda like Tasmania..

  • Is it just me or does cav look like he is smiling during sprints?

Also in an extension of that quote you should all read his article in the new ride journal he properly goes for it with the sweeping statements. I guess you have to be egotistical as a sprinter though, something about the psychology of winning. I.e if you dont think your the best then your lacking an edge.

It was cool him turning up to the nocturn.

  • What, the HTC-sponsored nocturne?

  • Which was organised by the company that manages his business affairs?

  • He was there

  • ^ Look at the fucking hipster.

    Swims past hook.

    Looks for bigger fish.

  • yah yah whatever.

No showing on The IoM. Fail.

  • I'm going to that!

21st October at the local cinema.

    Ace!

  • Definitely on for seeing that. Fulham Road is my closest i think.
