I have done this 'pignon fixe' for my brother's friend in France.
1995 Bianchi with pearlescent paint, basic Joytec wheels and single ringbolts, 52x18 magic gear. Shimano Sora front brake with Dia-Tech Dirt Harry lever.
Rides really nicely and the parts cost circa £75 all in which should be covered by the sale of the 'geared' parts.

Didn't bother drilling the rear nut out, just screwed the brake on ham with a few spacers.
Needs seatpost shim and some garish bar tape and it's done. Crud racers dont fit so I guess I will have to bodge some race blades on. Any other mudguard suggestions for super right clearances? -

This; although credit for actually matching the three browns.
Cranks are haut-swag.

PDW with 23mm tyres?

I've heard of Miche parts being made of cheese, but screwing bits into ham is a new one for me.
I hope it has cured your problems and that it doesn't put you out of joint any further.

Can safely say with pride, those welds are worse than a Mash. :oP
Nice frame doe.

I can live with those welds with thinking about what I paid for the frame :)
only seen this before.

Meh, integrity in the process/materials is nice.
Spending six hours with a file to make your welds weaker isn't.

thats true, i weld alot myself.
but still, it was a cheap rare frame thats light and stiff as fuck! :P
Oh wow that ti Carrera is luurvely, even the matchy pink tyres! I say cut the fork, even slammed it will still be plenty long enough for most other peoples frames if you choose to sell it on.
My next scheme is getting rid of my Planet x Pro carbon frame and building up my Casati again, this time with sram and a Columbus minimal fork, can't wait to ride that bike again in a slightly lighter incarnation, my calculations come up at 8.3kg/18lbs but we'll see if that is realistic...
