I'm starting to think that way after getting over the initial disappointment.... I have Campy, Shimano and Zeus builds already so this was always going to be a bitsa - it is getting HCS carbon rims on Hugi hubs with Magura hydraulic levers and calipers. The colour is nice although I have other bikes in similar colours. Ho Hum best thing is probably to put it together and ride it before winter and move on to building up the Moser / Rigi or the Koga. Can't decide quite what to do with the Koga so probably be the Moser.
Nice choice of components, looking forward to both builds!

Is there such a thing as a half decent front rack like the Soma or VO that doesn't cost the earth? My budget won't stretch to such loveliness. Is the Minoura one any good?
Also, what RAL colour should I powder coat my new steel MTB? Ideally not clashing with the fluorescent yellow brakes and metallic blue green decals. Or if it does clash, the most horrible clashing possible

LoZ Crossos
Started out as a Transition Rapture.
Colour is a bit hard to capture. But it's neon-pink with glitter!

Very nice. Had my eye on both this and the Nature Boy Disc. How is the tensioning working out? Any slipping, creaks etc?

No Idea. Just rode it home from work today. There is some rubbing with 1.30 (42C) tires on the chainstays. But it was just an experiment, until I get a hold of some proper cyclocross-tires..

Its a Pete matthews build with royce hub, 20 spokes. borrowing both the wheels off of a club mate :-)
Hi Michael! nice to see you on here, I will definitely be at Belmont, that's my favourite hill ever and should be super fast with the new surface. You planning on entering any others? Our club event on Burrington is always a banger. Apparently Minehead CC on Porlock is a really good one too.

@Borek I've been stuck in the midlands all summer with flat commuting being the majority of my riding- can't wait to get back to the Bristol Hills. Excited about the new surface on Belmont, it's a favourite of mine too- kinda recollect seeing signs up about the resurfacing, descending should be a bit nicer too.
I'll definitely come down to Burrington and hopefully some of the other WTTA ones- I don't hold out a lot of hope for my legs getting me up them with any speed though.
