I've had this Specialized Rockhopper kicking around for a while, can't really use it as there is no mud in London's famous London. Building it up with new wheels from a paddy wagon and some riser bars and stuff with a view to sell on to some Trixie wannabie type man.
plenty of trains out to muddy places though.

A few pics of my Rourke that I picked up from ebay
Changed the saddle and bartape/levers, plus got a shorter stem and non layback seatpost.......very pleased with it! Picking up some risers soon, nice to have a modern stem for quick changes!
i agree with the modern stem thing. silver parts would make it a little classier tho. still a great bike.

Yeah I thought about silver parts, but if I did that it would have to be seatpost/stem/bar & full wheel change! I tried a silver seatpost but it looked wank with stem and hubs/rims.
To be honest it has actually grown on me since ive had it........quite like the real contrast between the frame and bits.Good stuff for fiddling in the future though!

the bike is warn out, needed new wheels anyway, and it is one size too small for me, bought the bike in 2001. Perhaps when i sell it there will be some cash towards another bike

From back to blue. Need to sort the chain issues out (if anyone has a half link 1/8 drop me a PM) but bascially all done. Just waiting for some nice weather to get some better pictures to show off the shiny paint job.

I give you my latest project.
I picked this up two weeks ago after a tip off in craigslist/ebayfinds.
Its a vintage raleigh. I can't decide between the two models i think it may be. I will find that out later. either
All i know is it was covered in rust (which was mainly surface) and everything needed sorting out with elbow grease and perserverance.
It seems i have been able to salvage everything off the bike so hopefully it will be all original parts. including a very nice saddle.
I'll post pics as i go along. The cranks are next for a once over with the dremel and a dose of elbow grease.
The frame was chemically stripped and then put in a de rusting bath.
Off for paint next week still can't decide on colour.

one day we'll see projects where ppl take a fixed conversion and braze on new cable guides and put gears on. It'll be awesome.

leader 735tr
leader 1806tr carbon fork
48/18my mate i built it for was probably the only person inspired by that pic of the roided guy in the gym holding his leader above his head..
my first proper build, many thanks to loads of folks on this forum and odge at 14 for his advice.
not my cup of tea at all really, but still think it looks pretty cool in a brutish sort of way.
still need to either drill the fork or get a new drilled fork.. got a black diatech gold finger and campy veloce front brake to go on.excuse the god awful pics
I swap the fork. I've got a drilled one, carbon....

from this...
...to this...
i hate 'fixies'.
to be fair to the guy, he hasn't actually killed a puppy - braze-ons still in place. still a tragedy though.

You're kidding, right? That guy needs to be chopped into little pieces and fed to the dogs.
I am searching high and low for something like that Pinarello.

The locking forks ought to mean it's a Superbe. Certainly the rest of it looks like one.

I think the slo-pro is finally complete...it now has the new bars, grips, and detailing on the cranks and stem.
Apart from switching to my grey Atacs when i get them back i think it's complete...and i bloody love it too :)

Scott, that's freakin' lovely. Not my cup of tea as bike styles go, but I can still appreciate a damn fine looking bike when I see one.
