:( im soo sad what about the stabalisers will i be able to fit them?
-
• #91955
Sure. You just need to get them in the right size. You are still going for 700c wheels, yes?

Thanks bro. Safe riding :)

Although this is my first build, it doesn't mean i haven't ridden fixed or brakeless before, I ride a fgfs bike at the moment and i am very comfortable with no brakes but im in two minds mainly for the aesthetic reason and safety on such a fast bike...
Use a brake. Ride faster. Fact.

Where did you find those little matching frames?
Got them off someone on here, from a certain velodrome in Scotland. A few were fortunately sold off to fund the maintenance of other bikes. There are no more available. Incredibly lucky, thankful and realise how special these are.
Will post a picture when done. -

I think that someone on here was advertising the Raleigh frames from that velodrome on here as well, and ran the auction to pay for some new bikes.
I wonder if there were any adult size Donohues...

Dom, the Brooklyn is amazing and has pretty much made my mind up about what I'll be building next. The search is on for a small gangsta track! Thanks.

Looks great, Dom. I'm about to use the same rims for a wheel build. Think I might have to de-sticker* them after seeing this :-)

You should help Dom to find 46cm V1 Gangsta, then he will sell you his small V2.

Finished the MTB 'on the cheap but still quite nice' this weekend. £470 total with a few new bits like brakes/BB/headset etc. Could have been less without the overspend on the front wheel which I had in mind for for another project that never happened. Pretty pleased, fit is half decent, I had to put all the spacers on the NDS for a chainline that wasn't really noisy on the lowest gears. Will have to keep an eye on that.

Could anyone enlighten me as to what tool I need exactly to remove this freehub body? Its a Spengle Aura disc wheel
There seems to be 4 notches and would lead me to think its this tool that I need
http://www.parktool.com/product/freewheel-remover-FR-3
Can anyone confirm/deny this please? -
• #91970
Im being extra careful and dont want to damage it. I would presume i just need to tap the axle a couple times with something soft/hard.
Some more photos
This is the translation from the original advert
"
Offering a disk wheel of Spengle , model aura.

slightly curved shape. Completely hollow inside , no disguise spoked wheel !
Shimanofreilauf 8 - , 9 - , 10 -fold .
Mounting distance 130mm

I have even bought it once used only 2x down and now it is sold again for chronic non-use.

Many of you where interested when I had these External bearing cranks. Cranks are good, BB wasn't too good, but if you find out what standart bb you need you should have good combo cheap -
• #91972
master what style bb is it, sram 24/22mm or shimano all 24mm?
-
• #91973
I think they were shimano because there was a bolt to tighten left crank to spindle that GXP cranks doesn't have.
-
• #91974
They are shimano, the same as the on ones I have on the gangsta.
-
• #91975
sweeett :) got an ultegra bb ready to go then
Paul Donohue used to build track frames for the Manchester Velodrome junior riders but I thought they were transferred as Graham Weigh. Maybe he sold a few direct to customers. He built us a really small road frame based on them but with sloping top tube.
