Just wish it wasn't so bloody heavy!

That's a really nice looking bike. I'm sure there's a more effective and better looking mudguard out there though!

^^ I'd recommend these in compact: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/pro-plt-2014-alloy-road-handlebar/

Cheers. Pretty chuffed with it over all. Agreed, the mudguard isn't a great deal useful but it's better then nothing and my attempt at making mudguards work on this bike were faffy and unsuccessful. Pretty much decided on forgetting about the use of mudguards when I first got this!

Good shout. Was going to go with Deda zero 100's but I'm gonna give these a try! Thanks!

Yeah 2014 TCX SL2, Swapped the original 105 with rival though.

For compacts I'd highly recommend Planet-X Strada (£19.99) or the even lighter Strada Compact Lite (£29.99). Really nice shape and very good prices too.

Ah good shout, cheers! Will be getting me a pair of the Compact Lite for the PX once the summer bike gets put away.

The FSA Vero is a nice compact bar for about the same money. I really like the shape.

Sounds promising... Possibly a bit too over the hill but a photo would be great!
Here you go:
Although it turns out it's a B15 and not a B17. Buggered if I know what the difference is.

Possibly an even better shout, thanks. With the reach being 80mm would these be closer in shape to my Nitto M106 (78mm) than the PX compacts (70mm)? Having now tested them and being very happy, that's what I want to replicate.
-
• #91772
They're not quite as tight as the M106 but there's not much in it, and they feel like they have almost exactly the same drop and reach, and certainly they're much closer than e.g. Deda RHM. I haven't tried the PX ones.
-
• #91773
And they cost less than the import duty on a pair of M106. Cheers, sold!
-
• #91774
Still got a lot to do:
If you ever come to sell, DIBS! All this talk of 2014 being the year of the matching bikes ;)

With eyebrows track record of bike retention you could be in with a good chance there!
Caad 7is looking good, I think I'd rather different stem but otherwise looking decent. How's the ride?
I have the perfect one for you, b17 special with the copper removed from the rail so it look like those old brooks.
