  • Nice big drop!

  • this is a project i started a while back which just started collecting parts
concorde classic frame with aelle columbus tubing but unfortunately i may be open to trading her or possibly selling as she is to big! :( thought i'd share anyway

  • I don't know how you could not... 2014, the year of matching road and track....

  • Bitten the bullet and ordered some standard Grand Bois Cerf 28c for total of £79 posted, as it looks like the wait for the new Conti GP4000s II in 28c is going to take forever... and I fancied tan side walls... and they're ever so slightly lighter.

Now just hoping Ed's been right about them. :D

  • ^^^ A shame. Wouldve made a beautiful bike!

  • Now just hoping Ed's been right about them. :D

He is - they're truly wonderful to ride (the 32s are anyway). Very tempted to try out some of Compass's own tyres too...

  • Oh, you were serious?

  • Ooohh shiny

  • I really like the look of these.

    Or those

  • yup, they're ace

  • yup, they're ace

    Ridden them?

  • The nickel one would look pretty neat on my stripped nag.

  • The Omniums don't look too bad. What's that saddle by the way? I've got one but all the markings have rubbed off it.

  • Turbomatic 2

  • Gaston... Is that just using that Chrome rattle can paint? Lovely finish. I've always wanted to spray something with that.

  • ^ Really nice bike! That Tange crankset looks nice as well, chainring could look better. The bike looks great already with the Omniums.

  • Awwa man, that looks way to big for you, i'm gutted.

Remind me, who was next on the list to buy?

  • Roymund?

  • I'm trying to find a 26mm ahead stem so I can build it up. I just called up an LBS and asked and they said
    "Oh, you mean 25.4"
"No, that will be too small, I need 26mm"
"It will be fine, they only come in 25.4mm and 31.8mm. Most bikes now take oversize anyway so that's probably what you need"

    Bye then.

  • ^ supporting your local bike shop is very difficult when they say things like this. Guy at my LBS recently told me that a 27.2 seatpost is a very uncommon size and i'd struggle to get hold of one. Long live internet bike shops.

  • For serious though, I do hope it fits you, because matching bikes!

You should do the same paint job, and use SRAM again, will be rad

  • I'm not sure it will, it's 61cm square, but we'll see.

^^LBS in London tend to be good, in Cheshire not so. Saying that, I've had good experience with Dave Hinde, whose terrible reputation is down to his trading online. Heading there now.

  • Whats that ding in the chainstay like?
