On the talk of clearances,
does there exist a clip on mudguard, for 33C tyres, that would fit in this gap?

raceblade long ... maybe

Wouldn't expect a raceblade to cope with 33c

Was a bit of an 'off chance' question,
if it came to mudguards Id probably run 28s and raceblades, that should work better I imagine (my current thoughts are putting 28s on the talbot which means i can run mudguards next winter, put the rivendells on the bob (vigorelli has so much clearance!) and get a cheap wheelset for cross tyres for

have you considered getting a custom bike with mudguard mounts?

LFGSS is in existential crisis over fat tyres, mudguards and disc brakes.
rogan find a mudguard of any kind that fits, then use p clips. You can use qr mouting stays but personally I find them a PITA when getting the wheel out.

I only have two bikes. Both are brakeless, with no eyelets for mudguards, racks or other mucky parts that will ruin their sweet clean lines and neither can fit tyres above 23c...

Indeed, best solution is to size down to 28mm.

Indeed, best solution is to use a clip-on mudguard, wear some oversocks and HTFU

Pacenti SL23.
SL23 is 18mm internal, the Ardennes+ is 20mm
-

I gather that, 18mm is still pretty wide.
Was tempted to get the Ardennes+ in 650b, but it's heavier than the Pacenti.
