Missing two bearings, or missing two balls? If the latter, loose ball bearings which are one ball short of the normal complement will function, subject to accelerated wear and reduced load capacity. Since they are usually long-lived and specified for a maximal load of Chalo with touring gear, a short ride isn't going to do much harm.

Been working on this.
Some second hand things, including frame, and loads of hours spent in searching bargains etc. I'm ultra broke now but still need saddle, crankset, pedals, bartape, steerer tube spacers, stickers to close the valve hole in disc wheel and a cable router for beneath the bottom bracket. Also will in a distant future look for a deep section front rim.
Final build will be:
Planet X Stealth Pro Carbon Frame, forks and seatpost
FSA headset
Vision TriMax basebar + aerobars & brake levers
Vision Metron shifters (fuck me this technology is amazing)
Reynolds Attack front wheel. Hopefully some day a nice HED 3 spoke
Quasar rear disc wheel which is much lighter than I thought it would be
Ultegra 6700 10sp derailleurs
SRAM Apex brakes. Will remove the white logos with acetone for extra blackxiness
Profile Design Tri-Stryke saddle
FSA SLK-Light crankset in black 53/39
KMC X10SL Silver chain
Look Keo Max 2 pedals in black -

Gaston, I expect you know exactly, how many bikes for you is n (where of course n+1 is the ideal number, and n how many you own)?
Much envy.
So shine.

Current state. Bad weather has offered a bit of time for cleaning, tweaking and reflection. Some nearing completion, some undoing themselves, some continuing to drag on....
R3, boring/stealth build. When the weather cheers up, i'll treat it to a new paintjob. Otherwise, bar dialling in stem height/bar positioning and some new spacers, I'm happy. This Cervelo has changed my opinion of carbon and geometry that has me more informed with regards to a custom frame in the not too distant future. Not the most practical of "winter bikes" but been loving riding this bike.
Burls - again nothing exciting, other than the ride, but pretty much done.
Tonic Supernaut - suppose to have passed this on now the Burls is back on the road, but I just can't seem to do it. Been loving riding it over the last year, and still do. Currently in city (upright, one gear, no rushing) mode. could do with a cm, or two extra on the stem and some more dampening grips.
Merckx is still dragging on in terms of "completion". Seems C-Record was it's destiny, so the Dura Ace 7710 has been slowly replaced. Way back when the sun was out, I was riding it pretty much as is (with atacs and donor rear wheel) Have since found a rear Shamal pista and a pair of super nice C-Record pedals. Awaiting a set of campag large alloy clips and then a pair of LA84's before i admit it's too small/inappropriate for me
Master Piu - done gone undone itself of c-record to fund other things. Hoping to re-build this up with an 11spd silver athena group and riding the shit out of it. Again, before admitting its a touch too small.
A custom frame is weighing heavy on my mind (1st world problems) but will need to strip a few of the above away to fund it, so not making any rash moves, but enjoying them all in different ways.

That Merckx is so nice, would love a Merckx track one day...
You also need some NOS C-Record straps... ahem.
(I have some if you actually do). -

Handy rack added to the front, used cable ties on a sturdy little oven shelf to give me a little more room. Awaiting a black squared grill that's a little less bendy.

(I have some if you actually do).Yep, the merckx is such a nice frame, the "£'s to ride-time" ratio is pitiful though :/
cheers for the offer chris, actually got pair waiting in the wings for when the cages turn up -

They're all a lot of funtho, probably the merckx, being the least practical.

Nah, what you should do with the Merckx lopro is sell it on here for 5x what you paid for it...

Nice bikes!
Could I get away with riding a rear wheel that is missing 2 bearings to central and back? without causing any damage?
Or is it a really bad idea?
