Vittorio rando as a fixed CX/commuter. It's already in SSCX thread, but as it's a current project, posting it here as well. Fitted new tyres and brakes. Riding on hoods is so much better than on risers. Need to adjust the brakes, so still skidding to stop. Feels weird on big tyres.
Lovely frame and build.
Can you reach the brake levers when riding on the drops? They look to be too far from the bars. I´ve been thinking about getting some compact bars to match with old aero levers but seems that it´s not the best combination.

have you seen him IRL?

Pretty much finished. Everything deore except the eno cranks and canti-friendly levers.
Just need to find a front rack. It's been years since I rode a bike with full mudguards, makes such a difference. Not entirely happy with the cages, they hurt like fuck on my big toes, might go for some of those cheapo black plastic ones. -

This evening I was excited to receive this, dubious of it's strength in supporting me though...
my cf layback post swivels a little when i'm on the saddle driving down with my legs... usually on something steep, then i try to stand up without spinning out the back wheel
guess i'm saying carbon layback posts flex alot... no worries unless you're a giant

Might need to adjust position. Felt a bit stretched. Still PB'd tho thanks to gale tow.

Stretched when you sit on the top tube?

Sorethroat - plastic cages are much nicer on the toes and wreck trainers less!

Alot of people buy diagonal Restraps for touring as they're a comfier solution than clips...

Not with you on that one? Might need to update cockpit as stock bars v wide.

New project: Bianchi S.A.S.S. (Shiny Ass Single Speed)
Bought frame ++ today. Rear wheel is a sun ringle rim to surly new hub with WI freewheel, need to procure a reasonably mathcing front. Thinking I'll go all black parts, but will need to spread the purchases out a bit. First priority is a wheel so I can test it out. Also got brakes -- Hope Mono 4 with some enormous disks -- and pedals -- Time Zxx -- today. Looking forward to trying something other than a road bike!

On friday my new track frame arrived, I quickly threw it together like this

Untitled by 40 skid patches, on FlickrWhen I get the wheel set built for the orlowski I'll have to take this apart and figure out exactly how I'm going to build it up before the track season starts, it's very odd but nice to ride a frame that feels like it fits me well.

Really happy with the Brooklyn now, got the right seat post and back on clips and straps.
But more excited about this.

De sticker wheel on Pendle?
-
• #88368
Cheers, that front wheel was just borrowed from the brooklyn and the rear is just one I've got floating about so I'll eventually build up a decent wheel set for it.

Brooklyn is looking good too, they're so fun in all setups!

Any stealthier and it could be used to bomb villages in the Hindu Kush......

It is a bit "ninja": only bought the frameset though.
Should be this year's TT (time trial) bike, although the TT (top tube) might be a little too long.
Got an Ultra Torque pista chainset and tentatively planning a four/trispoke combo...
I did my stripping in the bath, no probs; but it will ravage your skin/eyes/lungs so strap up!
