Decals or screen printing usually come off with a mix of acetone and elbow grease. If they've laser etched the logos, you're SOL.

Check out Ebay. I did quite an extensive search on those step down ferrules and there is a supplier on Ebay.co.uk that sells them quite cheap.

Don't know about the situation out there, but my LBSs only regularly carry standard ferrules. The LBDumps however often give up treasures like stepped ferrules and Dura Ace cable clamps et cetera. Time must be set aside to dig through junk though.

WP, those ferrules you linked to aren't the right type (although the Thorn might bodge).

No mate, SJS was my first port of call as I remember this coming up before (might have been me). Bit puzzled until I found that thread and realised they must be OOS, as the link is dead.

Finished off with HS33s, 1x9 SRAM X0/X9 and some added chain tension. Can't wait to get it out on Sunday
