Down tube dent?

Best way to solve an overtightened seat tube cluster that has left it almost pinching. Flathead screwdriver between the cluster lugs and just force the correct seat tube down?

Really nice. Just been cleaning and regreasing head race on mine so I can use it on the club run in the morning if this fine weather continues.

just can't decide on the headset yet.....a ritchey wcs or a chris king, which i find nicer, but it's so bloody expensive....

Mine has a Tange.

I'd probably go Cane Creek 40 as the tipping point where paying more isn't really getting you a better headset.

....you have pic of your caad3?
...yeah the cane creek 40 is an option i might consider, only heard good things about their headsets. -

my cad 3 took a 1 inch headset, so that might limit your choices...

So, converting an old road frame to a 650b town bike. What are my options for reasonably easy to obtain 650b rim?
As far as I can see the option are velo orange diagonales however the seam weld looks dodgy in the pic on the website or pacenti pl23 which are not cheap!
Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Yep, thats the problem.....finding a decent 1" ahead headset ;)

^^ Just use 700c (I assume the frame is made for 27), you'll get lots of room to fit fatties and fenders.

I intended to post pics of this as I built it, but forgot.
It's a 2004 look 461 team built up with ultegra 6500.
Here's some pics from it's first ride the other week. I'll add a few more.

That was my original plan however after test fitting the wheels of my track bike its clear that there is no where near enough clearance for even 28C and mudguards.
Given I want to run probably 32 or 35C 650B is the way to go I reckon.
Ah but will you be bringing that along on the next slave ride?
