What 30mm tyres are they? Challenge...?
Also how come you never usually see 30mm tyres?

• #84153
Because real men ride 23s

Yes challenge strada bianca. They come in tan walls if one prefer as well.
Fork is usually the limiting factor regarding tire size and most forks dont even fit larger than 25s. Very few race frames today take a 30 in the rear either. This is an alpha q cs25 (not produced any more) that were designed for fenders and / or larger tires.

and the Pro stick with heavier, fatter, slower 25/28c then?
-
• #84157
Sorry I meant that the most common tyre size increments seem to be; 23, 25, 28, 32mm.
You very rarely seem to see 30mm as a size.
How come? Is it just a steady increase of +2, +3, +4mm?
-
• #84158
Oh yeah, it's labelled as 27mm, but when mounted on a reasonably wide rims, it came out as 30mm just about clear the brakes.

The strada biancas are labelled as 30mm. The P-R were 27s i think but as you say measured abit more than that. These measures slightly more than 30 but pretty accurate description.

P-R on 23mm rims;

That picture is inaccurate as the tyre has air in it
-

Just trolling about it. I usually ride 23, but I notice 25mm tires add great comfort. Haven't ridden anything wider but I imagine the comfort only gets better.
-
• #84163
Unless it is a Challenge P-R, which would mean you are riding on the rim.

.) to be fair they seem to be great tires for a few selected ppl and suck for the rest.

This, I actually find I have to pump it up more because it was very supple.

And less resistant;

That's debatable (see fig. 1).

Looks good Björn!
What are the bars? Looks almost like you have neg rise stem in the photo
Great fit apart from the hand position with these bars. Will perhaps change to something else before i wrap. A few more days, maybe they grow on me.
Some new spacers and fenders and it will be completed. Feels like a great bike. Maybe a bit heavy coming from a lighter bike and the 30mm tires feels abit sluggish compared to 23s but they are super smooth! No punctures yet after a day which mean they are better in that regard than the paris roubaix version .)
Came out pretty nice imo.

Thanks!
Its a 17degree stem on a 73degree headtube so the stem is horizontal in theory. Partly a photo illusion but the toptube slopes 2 degrees so that ads to the feeling of the stem looking negative. It turned out better than i hoped for both fit and look wise but paint doesent look quite as good up close as i said before. Its got a few battlescars unlike yours.
The bars are ritchey wcs curve (alloy). They would look awesome on yours! :)
Nah but I'm still looking for another pair of those specialized bars so if you have any doubts, let me know.Cheers

Thanks. I was asking how you like them.
do you know what's the difference to evo curve? -
• #84174
Lol ofc you were. I slept poorly last night or something..
I just have one day using these and the drop is very nice but i ride alot on the hoods and they havent really felt that great but im going to try them a few more days atleast.
Transition is pretty flat, perhaps more than id like or at least more flat than im used to. I could mount the lever slightly higher and tilt the bars more to get abit of angle in the transition but then the drops will be pointing slightly upwards so no good..Dunno about the evo comparison but one difference just by looking at them is that the evo have groves for cables whilst the logic does not. Evo also heavier.

Seriously considering selling the Longstaff frame and moving all my parts over to a VeloOrange Pass Hunter when they come out.
Currently details are sparse, apart from geometry and some pictures of prototype frames. Not much about type of steel/price etc,
The info so far sounds fantastic though

They do get cut up quite easily.
