so starting with drops because half the point of rebuilding this was to have a fixed bike I can actually do proper rides on, but I'll probably switch between these bar setups most of the time in town
also got some cheap track drops from tommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and I really like them but no stem for them atm and they'd only be for show...

Those Miche hubs are shit. The freehub is made of cheese, so if you're going to be putting any serious power through it I wouldn't bother. Get PX or Novatec if you want light on a budget.

Damn right those are Novatec. I roll them on my Reynolds Attack wheelset (Actually just the front wheel as I broke my rear rim, but I have ridden the rear hub as well) and they do a great job. VERY smooth and easy to clean. The read one makes quite some noise though. I didnt mind but I've read some people write that it annoys them
Its novatech hubs on attacks? Then it is on my assualts swell. Dident know. Have no complaints other than the loud freewheel!

Solution: Keep pedaling :)

No 'h' in Novatec if you're looking on Fleabay, got them on my Chinese carbons and they're faultless as yet (and very ww for the price). If the freewheel noise annoys, just pedal more!

I love a noisy freewheel.
When you're wheelsucking the guy in front needs to knows he should pedal harder. It's a courtesy thing really.
Likewise, when I'm biting bars in a headwind and hear a chorus* of noisy freewheels I know to pull out and let them do the work.*halfhearted pun. My chorus hubs are amongst the loudest I've ever heard

I thought Reynolds used unbranded DT Swiss hubs for their wheels?
I've a couple of pairs of wheels with Miche hubs, that I use for cyclocross and they've been faultless.
-

They do for their fancy models but not for the budget wheels. Dident know they were novatec tho.
-
• #82042
I don't know if we're talking about different hubs but my Novatec hubs are pretty quiet. More quiet than my PX ones.

Is novatec hubs made by KT or are they the same somehow?
The hubs on my assaults are made by kt and the freehub i recently purchased with info from reynolds is even named kt. Maybe reynolds recently changed hub supplier or they dont use novatec at all?!

When I was looking for info on my Reynolds Attack hubs I also ran into something about KT but I'm pretty sure they are Novatec hubs.
Too lazy to get into it but heres some info:

in miche case, hubs being novatecs is an actual improvement
